I started of playing thinking this is a pretty good game. But geez. Grind And Grind and GRIND,. If you're starting out, Ignore the Threat levels. They mean nothing. I've gone 6 and met nothing. I've gone 2 and been ambushed by 5 ships and almost instantly killed. So if you think you can take a few easier a missions to get into the game, you're wrong. Of course to get past this it to "engineer". But to do that you need to acquire a myriad of items which involves you getting past these unbalanced missions PLUS the Grind and Grind and Grind. A Mile Wide and an Inch Deep. I'm glad I bought this on special for only £9. Because I'd feel cheated if it was more than that.
"This frontier account does not own elite dangerous, and it's not linked to any third party accounts"
Terrible game. Nicely made, but still terrible. Absolutely not beginner-friendly. If you're a kid with tons of time, go for it. If you're a family guy looking for occasional entertainment, stay 100 light years away. I'm glad I didn't pay full price. Should have bought No Man’s Sky instead.
c'est un jeu incoryable, certe compliqué à prendre en main au début mais il manque de populartité par rapport à la qualité du jeu
Far too much grind
Tu aimes l'astronomie ? Bonne chance ! o7
At the time of this writing, I have ATTEMPTED to play for 792 hours. I have been stuck in place while trying to run some ground missions, had ships explode all while sitting on the BLACK screen of death waiting for the screen to actually load when exiting my ship to get in my rover (22 minutes later), I have had bounties showing to friends, but nothing showing on my own screen. I think Elite COULD be a really good game if FRONTIER actually gave a ♥♥♥♥ about their product and fixed the issues instead of asking folks to "vote" on what gets fixed. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I really want to love this game, but it frustrates me so much that I just can't. Elite Dangerous has so many incredible qualities. The ships, the flight model, the excellent combat system, the vast Milky Way galaxy, exploration, the atmosphere, and the overall feeling of being a space pilot are all phenomenal. I even enjoy most aspects of the Odyssey expansion. For a while, those things are more than enough to keep you engaged. The problem is that, after some time, almost everything starts to feel repetitive, generic, and lacking in meaningful, high quality content .. Engineering completely killed the game for me. Gathering materials, searching for one trader, then another trader, jumping back and forth across the galaxy just to complete a single upgrade ... it feels like an endless list of unnecessary chores. Instead of being rewarding, the entire engineering system becomes exhausting and makes you question whether you even want to keep playing. Another thing that frustrates me is that the developers have a truly unique space simulation on their hands. In many ways, Elite Dangerous offers experiences that no other game in the genre can match. Yet instead of focusing on the features that make the game special, they seem determined to turn it into something else by adding mediocre FPS content that feels completely disconnected from the core experience.
frankly, just get no mans sky. There is a reason here "it is a mile wide and inch deep" is a comman saying here, a lot of grinding loops for the sake of grinding other stuff There is a lot of tools that should be in game, but it is not, and handled by the community off site.
I played the original Elite back in the 1980s on the BBC Micro. I have been excited about playing Elite Dangerous since it first came out! Is it David Braben? He is so ambitious! The game is beautiful. Really stunning. The universe is vast. The problem I had is that it's just a bit boring. You could do pretty much anything within the game but I found the game to be quite a lonely world. It's basically pick up and deliver in a gorgeous version of space, totally stunning, with a bit of exploration mixed in. But each task is very repetitive. For me, I dunno, I want to love this game but just find myself dissatisfied. If you are looking for a chill experience i space then this is for you. I will probably get the itch at some point and want to try again. For now though I have uninstalled.
