This is a banger, and I know bangers
Wierd aiming but free and some fun with friends.
// Eggsplosion Can do 2 vs 2 or Free For All. There seems to be 8 games, that can be played in 3 different environments. You can choose any # of the 8 games and 3 environments before launching. Very simple, great for young kids. (I was able to play with an Xbox Core Controller + an 8BitDo Pro 2.)
had fun, it is free local for 4 people, so it is worthy
"Eggsplosion" is an incredibly lame 2D retro twin stick top down "party shooter" with a chicken/egg theme (because that's what was needed to ressurrect this old dead genre... not). The quality of technical delivery is on-par with the concept, so it's not surprised this was a complete utter failure. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2025. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
A feast for the eyes. The funny drawn Chickens and the nicely designed environment, are creating a cute dynamic in wich the player dives into emidiately. Sadly the guns just wouldnt spawn, wich was why we could only shoot at each other with the eggs. Nice little game for a fun evening with the boys. 10/10
