Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It is a fun game to play. The only thing is that, in my opinion, they should make the game cheaper or free to increase the player base, as it is a bit low right now. Of course, there are also a few small things they could change.
A great concept in theory but in implementation it is a game that is tedious for the sake of being tedious. The tech trees don't make any sense and mid-game is such a slog that I questioned uninstalling the game right then and there. It is clear that the devs intended this game to be for a 20+ player experience but the problem is that the game does not lend itself to encouraging players to stay. Destroying the meteor is a letdown too especially after the headache of an experience that it takes to get to that point. Additionally, the game barely has any information on how most of the systems work. The wiki is barren and the in-game tooltips only provide so much information that you question if the devs even know how the systems work. 2/10 Would only recommend to someone who plays nothing but Rust.
The game used to be good long ago. They have changed everything, and sadly, for the worst. It was a nice grind to a monopoly but helping others. Now its impossible to do anything. Almost 1000 hours of play time. Dont recommend.
DO NOT BUY. this glorified screen saver is not worth 30 euros. ive spent 2 hours trying to log in to any server with no luck. farthest i managed to get is main menu. scam. went online looking for answers found a dude talking about there official page and how you need to ling in your steam acc with there acc on official page, did that DOES NOT WORK. worst thing is they managed to scam me for those 1 hour "trying" time so i cant even ask for refund anymore. i spit in there faces.
Eco is a pretty slow-moving game, but it’s also one of the most unique games I’ve played. It takes that idea of “build a community where everyone has a role and relies on each other,” which a lot of games have tried and failed to do, and somehow actually pulls it off. It doesn’t just simulate a town. It simulates a full economy, settlements, politics, governments, and eventually entire countries. You start off with basic professions like logging, mining, or campfire cooking, then slowly work your way into better technology as people specialize into different roles. Certain professions are the only ones that can make certain things, so if you want metal tools, you need a blacksmith. That kind of system makes everyone feel important in a way most games never really manage. It scratches a very specific itch: roleplay, but without having to pretend. That being said, Eco definitely has its problems. The biggest one is the time commitment. Once you get invested, it can start feeling like a second job. A lot of players seem to drop off after the first week or so, even though most servers are built around a 30 to 45 day run. The main goal is to stop a meteor from wiping out the planet, usually after 30 real-life days. To get there, everyone has to work together, build up technology, create infrastructure, and manage resources without completely wrecking the environment along the way. I really love Eco. Though it's biggest downfall is that just there isn't enough people playing it. The community can feel small, and you’ll definitely start recognizing the same names, but the game itself is something special. There really isn’t much else like it.
There's a great game here. It's a great experiment in social and economic dynamics. The way communities emerge is intriguing, and the communities is... well, let's just say dynamic. All of this, however, is completely undercut by the absolutely horrible UI, terrible movement, and janky physics. You ever have that dream where you're trying to move but it feels like you're moving through water? Well they managed to master that sensation in every aspect of movement in this game. Need to click a little square icon to bring something up? Well a quarter of that small square is also the button that cancels the task you're working on so be careful where you click! Then there's the speed at which you mine/shovel, etc. Aim where you want to shovel, click, and wait a few seconds because there's an animation you have to go through before it completes. Shift your mouse a little and you're digging up the wrong part of the landscape. There are just a ton of tiny little UX issues that ruin this game, which is a shame because beyond the interfaces lies a really great concept.
Eco is one of those games that captured my attention early in its development. I would play it for random bursts at a time, though never quite lasting as long as I'd like. But each session *was* fun. Now? Not so much. What originally captivated me was the emphasis on balancing the ecosystem with industry. On that premise, it had an eloquent sense of realism, while still having that awe and suspension teeming with life. Now, and I truly hate to frame it like this, it's devolved into a what I can only describe as an ecosystem politics simulator. Player cooperation is forced in such a god awful way should you choose to even play with others. The tutorial is so longwinded and dragged out now, you'll quickly lose motivation to keep playing. And as others have pointed out, $30 for this? For what feels like a drawn out lecture on the importance of legislation and valuing the ecosystem? Forgive my bluntness, but you're making too hard an effort to preach to the choir. Many who seek this form of premise is ALREADY aware of such concepts, they require no convincing; and those who need to hear it the most won't be the ones seeking it. This game would be so much better if it just stuck to the basics of its premise; rather than to subject the player to be entrenched by the one thing many seek an escape from: politics.
