About
In Echoes of the End, you play as Ryn, a powerful vestige born with an affinity for what remains of an ancient magic. When her brother is captured and war threatens to engulf her homeland, Ryn must rise to defend it before it’s consumed by conflict.
Alongside Abram, a seasoned scholar with a haunted past, she embarks on a journey that will test their newly forged bond, uncover buried secrets, and challenge what it truly means to wield power in a world on the brink of collapse.
The handcrafted world of Echoes of the End draws inspiration from the raw, untamed beauty of Iceland, a land where fire and ice coexist in striking contrast. Towering glaciers, ancient lava fields, and vast geothermal plains form the backbone of its landscapes, each shaped by nature’s elemental force. Traverse windswept valleys, descend into glowing volcanic depths, and uncover a realm filled with monsters, mysteries, and relics of a lost civilization where magic and machinery intertwine.
Combat in Echoes of the End is fast, deliberate, and brutal, blending precise swordplay with devastating vestige powers.
Chain heavy strikes, parries, and magical abilities with seamless grace before finishing off your opponents with visceral execution moves.
Use your magic to hurl enemies into each other, into environmental hazards, or off sheer cliffs. Drain their life to sustain yourself in the heat of battle, and unlock new abilities across four upgrade trees that let you tailor your approach to combat throughout your adventure.
Ryn is not alone. Her capable companion Abram fights alongside her, using his abilities to damage, stun, trip, and grab enemies, creating perfect openings for devastating follow-up attacks.
Whether you’re here for the story or seeking a true challenge, Echoes of the End has something for everyone.
The new Journey difficulty strikes a balance between combat intensity and steady progression, making it the definitive way for newcomers to experience the game’s story, combat, and exploration.
Puzzles and platforming are at the heart of Echoes of the End’s adventure. Every chapter introduces a distinct visual theme and unique puzzle mechanics, ensuring that no two areas feel alike, from ancient ruins powered by shifting energy to volcanic chambers with twisted gravity.
Solve intricate environmental challenges that blend logic, timing, and exploration, often requiring clever use of Ryn’s abilities to manipulate the world around her. Leap, dash, and double-jump your way through a breathtaking world as you develop a growing arsenal of magical traversal powers throughout the journey.
Forge your own path through a progression system that rewards mastery and experimentation, with over 40 upgrades that enhance and expand Ryn’s arsenal of skills. Every choice defines how you fight, explore, and survive in this ever-evolving world.
Outfits and relics further shape Ryn’s strengths, allowing you to adapt your approach to combat with unique builds and strategies. Unlock 13 outfits to personalize Ryn’s appearance and discover more than 20 relics that dramatically alter the flow of encounters, letting you fine-tune your playstyle, from relentless offense to tactical precision.

A great trip it was in the great game it is.
An enjoyable single player experience. That said, the AA bones of this game do show through from time to time, especially in the occasionally clunky control responsiveness and the camera control. Other than that, it was a brisk, enjoyable single player experience. 7/10
TLDR If you like the newer God of War games, then chances are you are going to enjoy this game. The inspiration is very immediate and well imitated while managing to stand out with it's own ideas to combat and traversal. I beat the game in a little over 12 hours, so it's very digestible, plus they put a picture of the office dog in the end credits, and that made me smile. Definitely a studio to look out for in the future. Long Form -- Description -- This game is a directly inspired by the newer God of War (GOW) games. If the gameplay and story telling structure didn't immediately give it away, the God of War 2018 reference in the game did. You control the main character who's responsible for melee combat, and you call your companion character to do assist attacks during combat. When you are not in combat, you are traversing the world and solving puzzles. Unlike GOW, the game allows you to solve the puzzles without comments or answers given out by the characters, instead opting in for a "hint" button instead. -- Performance -- Played on high settings, and didn't run into any issues (except one minor inconvenience). The game looked good throughout my entire time playing, and I only ran into 3 bugs during my entire time playing. One persistence one; when I boot up the game, a notification always pops up about me unlocking an outfit that I already have equipped. Another was when I was in animation to climb a way with the help of my companion, and it teleported me to a different ledge to do the animation, and then back to where I actually jumped to trigger it. It's was jarring and funny, but ultimately harmless. The game hard crash once on me. I think it's because I managed to hit the enemy with an ability before they were aggroed, but I'm uncertain of this. The game has very generous save points though, so I lost no progress. -- Combat and Systems -- Combat is weighty in a way that feels solid and satisfying to land hits with your sword. You can use telekinetic based abilities to move around and do enhanced attacks while your companion can stun enemies on call or passively attack them to limit the amount of aggression on you. This breaks combat (in a good way) very early in the game if you get good at the dodge and parry timing windows of the enemies. Later as the game introduces more varied enemy types, you'll need to be more mindful of your approach, so it balances out the resource management aspect of your character's abilities. Abilities in the skill tree feel strong and immediately useful when properly applied in combat, and are unlocked through skill points which the game isn't stingy with. There isn't a gear stat system tied to equipment, but instead unlockable outfits that also unlock items with combat effecting stats. You can only equip two at time. This allows the both items and skills unlocked in the skill tree to feel impactful out the gate, instead of the slow drip feed the GOW games feed you over tens of hours of gameplay. The currency you need to unlock said outfits though did feel like a very tight economy at times, and there are multiple outfits I wasn't able to unlock on my first run. -- Story and Characters -- Without saying too much, the story is serviceable, but fairly safe. The most interesting part of this game's narrative to me was the in universe lore of magic, technology, and the many lost civilizations to time. The main motivation for the player isn't relevant in the story until the very end, and plays second fiddle to the real driving plot force of the game, which is essentially your counterpart in this game. The characters felt more like driving forces to plot with some character details/backstory that connect them all together. I enjoyed the more humorous moments of the characters, as they felt natural and were placed throughout the game appropriately, but I only every really felt attached to one character.
Abram
was the only character that I felt was given real character, instead of feeling like a archetype or plot point throughout the entire experience. It wasn't something that hurt my experience playing, but is worth noting as an area to improve upon for future games. -- Level Design -- Somebody really took their time in designing these levels. The way you traverse parts of these map and the unique effects that some levels have in place to move you around was pleasantly surprising. Give that person a raise. The environments and sections you move through felt natural (as in no yellow paint to climb design), puzzles felt challenging but fair, and the set pieces on this level were top notch. The whole valcano scene was a stand out in my memory. -- Final Thoughts -- I really enjoyed my time with this game, and would easily recommend it to anyone who is curious to play or looking to scratch that GOW itch. I know the launch version of this game wasn't like this based on the developers own admission, but I never played that build of the game, and can only judge the enhanced edition of the game. Either way, the hard word and dedication to the craft shows in this game, And while I think there are some areas that can be improved upon, this is a very fine first game for a brand new studio, and I can't wait to see what more they have in store for the future.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

a slower and more methodical pace of combat though although the visuals are really something else the terrain detail is immense and i often didnt even want to rush as this is a genuinely detailed world it almost feels more like a tech display with some basic combat and simple variety of enemy although the combat is pretty good and relying on environmental objects for combat felt more hefty than some other games and considering the quality of detail i had figured early on the the story might suffer though not the best of starts the story really ends up getting interesting * not really an effect on gameplay although it would have been nice to have more clothing options for abram i only founf 1 option that altered his altered his clothes though it linked with ryns attire aswell nice to have allies to be dapper aswell

The Camera and targeting system can be frustrating, but I loved the puzzles, environment, and characters. Solid 7/10 for me.
This game is UE5 slop. That said, Expedition 33 was UE5 slop and that won Game of the Year, so... Just like E33, this has plenty of redeeming factors, which ultimately make it a good experience overall. Crucially, I feel the game has soul. The plot is interesting enough, and it's set in a world that's just fleshed out enough to make the story feel grounded, though perhaps having the world being talked about rather than shown makes everything feel a bit distant and that undermines the stakes a little bit. The two main characters are fairly interesting and they have a nice dynamic. The voice acting is good, for the most part. The gameplay alternates fairly evenly between combat, puzzles and platforming/traversal. The combat starts out feeling a bit flat, but the abilities you unlock throughout the game just about keep combat fresh enough for the dozen or so hours the game lasts. The puzzles are pretty good, with maybe a couple of exceptions. There is a hint system, which thankfully is entirely optional, but be warned: that's to help out if you are stuck, not to make puzzles skippable. Puzzles, even if you use hints, take up a sizeable chunk of the game: if you don't like them, I don't recommend playing this game. I do wish to comment on a few game design flaws that go beyond just "being poorly made". There's a frustrating amount of invisible walls, which don't mesh well with such a focus on traversal (
especially given there's a double jump and an air dash
) and finding hidden items and currency. Next, the game sort of has a "milestone leveling system", but it's masked behind XP. And it's not well hidden at all, because there's a point where you need to unlock an ability from a skill tree and it automatically gives you exactly the XP you need to get your first skill point, and the game even tells you that there's an expected amount of skill points per chapter in the chapter select screen. They should have committed to the "milestone leveling system", maybe having extra skill points peppered around the levels inside chests. Last, the relic system feels bad. Having relic unlocks tied to cosmetic outfits means that you might not get the outfit you want because you're incentivized to buy one with a better relic instead. Even worse, there are different tiers of the same effect, which led to me not buying outfits that had Tier 1 or 2 relics because I was waiting to find the Tier 3 version (which, as far as I can tell, doesn't always exist). TL;DR: UE5 slop, but with soul. Decent plot, alright combat, plenty of puzzles. Overall, not bad.
