best ww2 game

The only military game i ever played where the AI actually fights like an army and stays in squads and coordinates attacks and hold positions strategically and makes smart advances. 10/10 i dont even like FPS games that much but i love this one because of the smartness of the AI and how it feels like real battles and looks like them.

i love this game so much, it's absolutely beautiful and covers battles not many other games cover. with that being said, i do think it could use a graphic, animation, and voice acting overhaul. would recommend for those who don't care about graphics

I bought this game a few years ago as I was looking for a fun WW2 shooter that has the same feeling and setting as the original CoD's. While this is isn't CoD, it does evoke this feeling of nostalgia. The main draws of this game are the varied campaigns that you can fight in. It is not your classical Americans VS Germans. You can play as multiple factions (China, Japan, Soviets, British, Canadian, French and a few more) that are modelled to their historical counterparts and use accurate weapons and authentic uniforms. The game can sometimes be a bit janky or unbalanced. People in other reviews have mentioned the AI either knowing immediately where you are and sniping you, or being completely oblivious. The AI don't always seem to do well on their own which makes you 'carry' the whole game. Unfortunately that does not help with the feeling that you are just a soldier that is trying to survive. While you don't need the DLC's, I would certainly recommend them. They add so much new and interesting content while also supporting the devs in their work. They frequently address issues as well as gather community feedback. One example is revisiting older maps and campaigns and revamping them to the same level as the latest DLC.
