It's just not for me. The first dungeon had me spend more time on braindead "puzzles" rather than combat, after which I had to suffer through supremely annoying dialogue with some woman in which none of my replicas made any difference. Picking "I'd rather be alone", "I'd prefer not to talk about it" and other such options all resulted in an increased friendship level with the character I was wanting to go tf away and a journal entry saying that she's "the best". What?! I barely met the lady and all I've done was tell her to pound sand! That's when I closed the game and decided to request a refund. Leave this railroaded crap to modern audiences. Either this is a dialogue-heavy game, in which case the dialogue should have meaningful options, or this is a dungeon crawler, in which case the dungeons should have more combat and fewer kid-level puzzles. You know what this game reminded me of? Asterix & Obelix XXL. If you think about it, the games are quite alike in certain aspects. They're both proudly European. There are thematic levels. There are simple puzzles. There are collectibles. There's 3rd person punch-punch-punch hack 'n' slash combat. There are downhill sliding sections. All of these aspects (especially the downhill sliding sections) are done much better in Asterix. It's also much more fun, and there sure as heck isn't any dialogue this annoying.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An unusual game. The main character is on a vacation in a magic theme park in the Alps where the goal is to to finish dungeons and kill enemies that are built onto local folklore. Each dungeon has a specific theme and lots of varied puzzle elements (different per dungeon/area). Difficulty: I'm playing on medium difficulty and the game is pretty easy. While I sometimes die often, mostly due to falling in lava or spikes in certain levels, the game automatically respawns you directly in front of the obstacle, so this is no big deal. The game is very hand-holding, is pretty good about telling you the difficulty level of an area compared to your equipment, and actually goes often even further by actively locking away too difficult areas. (However this might also be in some cases to prevent spoilers in the story progression). The fight and upgrade mechanics are pretty standard, you have all the typical armour and upgrade slots, you can buy potions and you often find money and equipment in chests. The puzzle mechanics in the dungeon are varied and sometimes remind me of Portal and similar games. However the dungeons are relatively short, so you can play with each mechanic only for a bit, although later dungeons can reiterate on previously used mechanics. In Town there are multiple peoples you can talk to and build a relationship with, kinda like in a small dating sim. Getting a good enough relationship grants you bonuses in the dungeons or more equipment slots or something. TLDR: This game shouldn't be taken too seriously, it's kinda a relaxing holiday simulator with a bit of simple fighting in case you need to let out some aggression. It seems to be meant to be played after a stressful day at school or work to relax and maybe let out some aggression by button mashing. I'm playing this on a steam deck and the controls are mostly perfect, just the menu navigation is a bit weird, because sometimes menu tabs (eg in the inventory) are switched with the bumpers and sometimes the triggers, which isn't consistent. The fan runs at a constant low speed and the framerate has no issues.
Very unassuming game, yet it's very rewarding.
This is a fully realized story based on a good idea and executed fantastically as a vidjer game that, tourist that you are, you can play in satisfying segments at your own pace. Everything in the game is designed to be not particularly taxing, while rewarding exploration and puzzle-solving. Even the time-management social aspect gives the player expanded options and utilities while expanding characters' stories, which means that I *will* be befriending everyone, even Effin'. Travis. If I were ever to play a Souls game, Dungeons of Hinterberg would be what I played to decompress and stop audibly seething at the XXth attempt to slay Mount Saw-Limbs, the Booger of Armageddon. Get this game. It's super cute and fun and not entirely cozy!
Wonderful game. Fun puzzles, good combat mechanics, and a great story. 10/10, highly recommend.
Great game! Hope to see more in the future!
A cozy experience, and the first time in a long while I desired to jump right back into New Game +
