Engagement
Reviews
Right now the game is lacking. Feels like there is some balance issues, and it lacks on engagement and player decisions, with an unhealthy dose of RNG. The game lacks depth, especially on the combat side which is what the game is mostly based around. The weapons are nothing more than stat sticks, most enemies are nothing more than stat sticks. So it just comes down to maths. It feels like you're just going through the motions to gain the currency used for meta progression to even stand a chance against the bosses. There some interesting elements, like the tile exploration, and how you hold cards for later use. But sadly the game doesn't explore these mechanics, and leaves a lot of unrealised potential. The game has a very short tutorial, that doesn't even touch on some basic elements of the game, such as the existence of forging or alchemy.
Theres the bones of a fun game here but it seems really poorly thought out and executed. the tutorial covers maybe a third of the mechanics. doesnt include how to upgrade weapons or use the alchemy mechanic. the discard/alchemy/upgrade mechanics are reached via a top right of the screen button which is not explained nor graphically highlighted to draw your attention to it. Class skills likewise are hidden at the bottom left, not explained (nor is really anything about mana use) and not graphically highlighted. Enemy actions are very unclear. hovering over some enemies just says "common Enemy" while others it will indicate special attacks or conditions. These conditions should probably be represented by a badge on the enemy card because... After using an off the field mechanic like drinking a potion, refreshing the shop, or clicking alchemy on the top right, the "hover over card for tooltip" just stops working. it resets if you take another in the playing field action the difficulty seems extremely punishing. with how sparse resources are and how quickly enemy health and mitigation scales, you can find yourself pretty much powerless if you dont extensively over prepare with spell books and weapons which also leads to, clearing the cards on each floor is severely punished by the available rewards being nowhere near strong enough to overcome the enemies you find. ETA: achievements trigger at somewhat random times, not tied as closely to their description. i.e "complete run without using an armor card" triggered on floor 10 of 30 all that coupled with the somewhat janky english translation ( overuse of "the" in desciptions) makes this seem like a low effort rush job on a decent idea for a game structure. i'd love to see a heavy balancing pass and some major UI improvements. hopefully the devs put some work into this because, again, theres the framework of a potentially great game in here

Utter garbage of a game. Lackluster tutorial, counter-intuitive, lacking in depth, and not at all a dungeon crawler with the tile mechanics in play. Looked interesting at first, but the combination doesn't match. I feel like it being a card-battler makes it suffer too much. Don't bother buying this mediocre, directionless slop. I give it a 5/10.
A small but very atmospheric roguelike. I unlocked two heroes. It’s easier to play as a vampire.
Not much "game" in this game. Just going through the motions.
I have to say if you are into this type of game it is really awesome Its one of those type of games you dont play a couple times and forget about it A lot of gaming goodness here Plus the Dev is active on the forums Hope theres more to come Am really glad this game was made and i bought it
I like this low stress card based dungeon crawler. Try the demo, you will get the basic idea. The starting knight is a bit difficult, as there are not a lot of options on how to play him. But even in the demo, you can unlock the second hero, the vampire, which takes 150 ash (dead enemy loot) to unlock, so it is a bit of a grind. Like I said, this is a low key relaxing after work game. The vampire has a lot more options on how to go through the game. Unfortunately, you don't transfer loot between the demo and the full game. But the point I want to make here is that if you find the demo reasonably fun, buy the full game, It is a lot more involved with upgrades and replay value.
Difficult :-( Good game just too hard for me. Balance feels extrem.
I also played on itch.io . Great little roglike. The art and music are very good
