About
DuneBorn is an open-world survival and extraction game set in a post-apocalyptic desert. The experience can be played entirely solo, following your own journey, or on shared servers where other players also explore the desert.
The world is ruled by Raiders, colossal mutated creatures, and hostile convoys fighting for territory and resources. Beyond these threats, the desert itself is relentless. Extreme heat, toxic dust, and violent sandstorms turn every incursion into a constant test of survival and decision-making.
Your vehicle is the core of that journey. More than transportation, it serves as shelter, support, and a safe point of return during missions. Keeping your vehicle close is essential. Far from it, any mistake becomes costly, and losing it can mean the end of an incursion.
Explore dangerous regions in search of resources, face Raiders and mutated creatures, and move toward the extraction point when you decide the moment is right. On shared servers, other players may also cross your path, making every decision even more unpredictable. The more you carry, the greater the risk. Extraction is never guaranteed.
Your car is more than a way to move across the desert. It is your mobile shelter. Improve performance, durability, and mobility to handle brutal terrain, sandstorms, and unexpected ambushes.
The desert is home to giant and aggressive insect-like creatures that guard rare materials. Facing them is a choice. Surviving them is not always guaranteed.
Ruins and abandoned facilities have become strongholds for Raiders and armed convoys roaming the dunes in search of resources. Confronting them means constant danger, but also access to valuable rewards.
The sand shows no mercy. Toxic dust, extreme heat, and violent sandstorms force you to prepare, adapt, and continuously upgrade your gear.
Between incursions, return to your Safehouse. A personal refuge where you recover, organize resources, upgrade equipment, and prepare for the next journey.
Explore ruins, camps, and the remains of fallen creatures. Turn what you find into upgrades, supplies, and improvised solutions that expand your chances of survival in the desert.

dont get your hopes up to high, i see that the game is still new but it lacks in a lot of areas. you cant customize your car like i have seen in the trailer, the fighting in the game is really lacking, you are able to get guns and armor way to fast. no multiplayer, it keeps on sending people to solo. its fun to drive but that is all
The game has the makings of a good game but it is still in development so its kinda bare right now, but fingers crossed they will add new content in the near future. It is still fun and it is a good game to just chill with while you wait for the devs to flush it out with new content. I bought it to support the next level of updates that should make it a really good game.

Haven't played much but I like what I'm seeing so far. The game is still in very early development despite steam showing full release. It's from a small development team that are pretty active in player feedback on discord. So don't expect too much too fast. The tutorial needs some work. Car physics are a little off but you can tweek them by adjusting the suspension to a point. The graphics are pretty good. The world feels a little empty, but the developer literally asked for ideas on how to fix this from his players. So while it might not be triple A, these guys are on the right track and taking player feedback seriously. Give it a shot and support this inde game development team to add more to this game. I for one am excited to see what they add next. Join their discord also.
Tut mir Leid, das Spiel ist einfach nur schlecht. -> vielleicht kaufe ich es im nächsten Leben
Dont waste your time and money. its a full release but feels like early alpha
This game is very fun and would love to see where it goes. If you like Mad Max style games this one is good
Cool idea but right now I just cant get into it. After some time to cook def worth coming back to. The way to start missions is also kind of tedious but not that big of a deal, walking to npc, calling for the ship to take you, waiting for the air getting into the ship closing door and leaving. Its not that big of a deal but it drives me crazy lol I didnt give the game a fair chance not even a full hour, worth the price tho and once some more updates come out this will be sick side note my cosmetics go to default going into missions
Game has lots of potential, so does every newborn at being a inmate or a Brain surgeon. This game should be in EA and not as a 1.0... Really Steam?! It's def a money grab, cause there's a lot of basic stuff, that should have been polished and it hasn't and it's been far too long since release with updates far too spread out (3 total), to be excusable. If it was EA, I'd let it slide.. Now they posted a roadmap, that should have been out day 1, not 7 months later! I've played 11 mins of it so far and it's crashed twice on a PC that probably cost more than the production of this game.
