Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Drops of Death is a murder mystery visual novel where the killer is randomly chosen at the start of the game.
Featuring four dateable characters, this romantic story has a deadly twist: you may unknowingly fall in love with the killer. Not all love is innocent, and it’s up to you to decide if you can look past their actions or bring them to justice.
Drops of Death is a killer dating sim not for the faint of heart.
Adrien is a college student trying to destress from classes by going to the school’s pool. What should’ve been a relaxing nightly swim quickly turns into a bloody nightmare when a hooded killer emerges. Adrien barely manages to escape the killer’s clutches. Traumatized and with the case ongoing, Adrien can’t help but feel the killer is watching them, waiting to finish what they started.
Choose your pronouns, with the option to choose between two different appearances for Adrien.

Edwin is Adrien’s best friend and a fellow marketing major, who is part of an active campus fraternity. He can be very protective of Adrien’s well-being and has walked them home to ensure their safety a number of times. However, Edwin has shown extreme bouts of jealousy when Adrien displays the slightest interest in others.
Would a best friend really go to such lengths to "protect" someone they hold so dear?
Fawn is an energetic and knowledgeable detective who runs her own true crime blog called Fawning for Crime. Though she can be annoying (especially to Detective Singh), she loves talking about a killer’s motive and unsolved cases. Some may say her passion for crime is a bit…unhinged.
Could this cute and bubbly true crime lover really be capable of murder?
Natasha is a quiet college student who was on the school’s swim team until she was advised to leave for unknown reasons. The experience she had with her teammates wasn’t pleasant and led to her being distant and at arm's length with others—except her older brother, Anton.
Can grudges with old teammates be strong enough to kill?
Nick Singh is a young homicide detective in charge of leading the murder investigation. Growing up he always wanted to be a detective, and eventually he started his career in his hometown, but was relocated to this smaller suburb. Up until now, he’s been forced to do paperwork and small, uninteresting cases.
Would a man who vowed to protect others really commit such a horrendous crime?

As others have mentioned, it is not really an in-depth mystery novel. I do think the store description explains it well enough. It is more that you may come across your attacker in your playthrough. For my first playthrough, I didn't. Case went cold and that was that. You can save and go back to explore options with others but it may take the fun out of it. With your next playthrough you can choose who your attacker will be, in order to get new story content and gallery unlocks. As for the endings, even though it says there are 50+ of them, its more that you get a choice to say something slightly different but the ending will be the same. I would say the variety of endings is much lower. In regards to the mystery side of things... It is mostly Adrien going through the process of being attacked and waiting for the police to handle things. In the meantime you will take classes and socialise until near the ending where you might get a chance to progress with things. The attacker may reveal themselves and depending on some choices you made previously, you can get saved or get (maybe) killed. There is also a chance to go off into the sunset with your attacker too. Each attacker has a different motive. There is no real detective work to be honest. Some will be more obvious than others, while the other will be a sudden last minute switch. It is somewhat of a shorter visual novel but still quite enjoyable. It did make me laugh a few times with how crazy it was. In regards to the 'evidence' it is more like mementos throughout your playthrough. It will do nothing for your gameplay but still nice to have. You will collect them as you play as another way to keep track to see if you have experienced everything. I would say it is certainly worth the play however, keep in mind it is quite simple story. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it on sale. You will get a good couple of hours in (even with the skips). Also Edwin is awesome! I will not spoil what happens but he really will do anything for you.

I can solve a murder case AND romance the killer? 10/10 It's still criminal that I cant romance my psychologist
really fun! spotting the subtle differences in how the characters act if they're the culprit vs if they're innocent is interesting, though I wish there were /more/ differences to spot. the story is well executed and enjoyable and I liked the background music a lot :]
Not being able to date Kim should be a crime but otherwise I love it!
My first time playing a visual novel and it is very fun! I already completed one path and I look forward to trying again. I appreciate being able to skip through dialogue at my own pace because I read quickly and I've been frustrated by games in the past that don't let me move at my pace. The art is particularly great!
Unique experience! The randomized killer select is a really fun mechanic and I think all the scenarios played out quite well. My first run I decided to go for Edwin...only to find out he was the killer. WELP! I made myself a chart to track all the unique endings. The game is small but for the price and diverse options it makes sense. I like how Adrien has customizable pronouns and forms, and the cast is varied in fun ways! I especially liked how their motivations for being the killer differ in ways that make sense. The partial voice acting is very fun, and the CGs are mostly nice, however the gallery is a bit of a mess. All the separate CGs of Adrien lying down could be condenced to one gallery section with alts you click on (like with the multi-gender CGs or all of Natasha's kiss scenes). In addition, the art is a little inconsistant. I think the spirtes are done very well, and some of the CGs are veeery pretty (like Edwin's yandere smile, or Nick's kiss scene), but some are a little off? I noticed it especially with Nick Singh, who has a cute sprite but a wonky blocky face in some of his CGs. That's super minor though. Something else to note is that the skip button glitches a little at certain points which was a little annoying but not game-breaking. Overall I found 57 endings. Drops of Death is a unique experience which, although short, has a fun varied cast, interesting storytelling, and a unique dynamic for each innocent vs killer relationship that transcends the romance genre, and clear passion behind it. It's not perfect, and you could get tired of trying to find all the new stuff in such short segments, but I think if you give it a chance you'll have a good time.
I really wanted to like this game, but the writing is too rough for me to recommend it. Both the romance and murder plotlines have very little depth, and the climax/endings are rushed. Characters often act in ways no reasonable person would to a degree that takes me out of the story. The art is good but a visual novel lives and dies by its writing. Great concept, mediocre execution.
