随所に歴代シリーズへのリスペクトや、製作者たちのドラクエへの愛を感じられる作品だった。 しかし、ドラクエシリーズを遊んだことが無い人にもぜひ遊んで欲しいとも思える。今までのドラクエの良い所、面白さを詰め込んで現代でも遊びやすくした、シリーズの集大成のような作品。

One of the premier JRPGs of the last 20 years. A very solid game, with some twists and turns in the story, while having a very comforting and familiar core. Also, an incredible entry point to the series. I would say if you like JRPGs even a little bit, you owe it to yourself to try this game. Doubly so if its on sale!
