Listen, I've played Harvest Moon games since Mineral Town on GBA, and I absolutely adore this game! Don't listen to the people complaining about the beginning tutorial--it's literally only like, 20 minutes long and most of that is story exposition. Plus, a lot of the tutorials are optional. Okay, so this game gives me big boy Mineral Town/Wonderful Life vibes. You also get the added bonus of Doraemon, who I personally love. If you've never heard of Doraemon, definitely start with the movies on Netflix before playing this! You don't have to, but it'll give you a bit of insight and extra love for the characters. This game has gorgeous visuals, well thought out environments, and the gameplay feels really nice to me. It's basically your standard old-school Harvest Moon with added Doraemon gadgets you can obtain throughout the game to make things easier. The story is so cute, I found myself loving all the characters. I can't say there's really anything that I dislike about this game so far, although I'm only around 22 hours in (first year, end of Autumn). If I had to complain, I guess I'd say I wish Doraemon did more in the game, other than shipping items and occasionally giving you gadgets. Although, there's a sequel coming out, so hopefully he's in that one a bit more! All in all, if you're thinking about getting this game, from a long-time Harvest Moon fan, do it ❤️
