This game doesn't have much going on, and what it does have going is too raw imo The writing is extremely simple, every time you do a mission your next time at sea will have your crew saying "Wow, you sure did that mission, captain!" as they recite the blow by blow of what you literally just did Ship battles are hard right up until you find out you can just demand the opposing captain 1v1 you and you can essentially stunlock them by spamming a single attack, *and this is more profitable than winning ship fights legitimately* You can become some sort of pirate overlord and take over cities, but city "combat" is literally just a numbers game where you need to pass a crew count gate and then it randomly generates how many of your crew died in the endeavor before giving you the town, meaning there isn't even any sort of minigame there Works well on the steam deck, but also there just doesn't feel like there's much point to it all

I'm not Fan personally. looks way better in the store page clips.
Loved it. It's a really good, charming game. Quite simple but very fun and entretaing. Hope more people discovers this lovely gem
Pirates, sky blue pristine waters, beautiful beaches... Man, this game has a VIBE going on. Sadly, trying to look past these vibes reveals a painful simplicity that never actually tries to do much with a bunch of very promising ideas, seriously, there are some good concepts here, but they are just that, concepts.
This game was a brief, charming experience that ultimately lacked depth and staying power. The gameplay loop is fairly basic and simplistic, and as other reviews have mentioned the game lacks true challenge in combat. A couple of hours in and I'd really seen and done everything the game had to offer. And without the few humorous npcs/quests there was nothing left to enjoy. The only reason I played for as long as I did is because I have a thing where I need to complete a game as best I can, which in this case meant getting all the achievements (I spent all my money before realizing I needed it to buy the largest ship in the game). Save yourself a few hours and pass over this one.
Game crashes whenever you buy items at a store, which is a very important part of the game.
if you dont play perma death you a ♥♥♥♥♥
