Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 19.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dokimon Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also known as Luna), a platform/engine built specifically for making monster tamer games. The engine keeps growing thanks to its devs and community — so making new Dokimon Quest (and similar) titles is within arm's reach, even for you.
"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!"

Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for... err, nevermind."
"My name is Rei! I've made a bit of a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though..."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"

Briefly, Dokimon is a monster catcher whose greatest strengths have surprisingly little to do with catching monsters. Its colourful, retro-inspired visuals, eccentric cast of characters and self-aware humour give the region of Xelos a distinct personality that kept me exploring long after the novelty of battles had worn off (admittedly, it lasted some time). The good: I don't think I've ever talked with every NPC in any of the mainline Pokémon games (not to mention unassuming rocks!) yet Dokimon managed to get me to do just that. The writing is aware of its tropes and manages to play with them through light-hearted and comedic dialogue. This makes the unexpectedly darker story beats stand out even more by contrast, immediately pulling into focus the main plot. While the progression is mostly linear - with it having you backtrack to locations to explore a previously unavailable route, though to be fair, the game itself does poke fun at these inconveniences - and the ability to Fly is awarded rather late in the game it never suffers from a feeling of tedium thanks to its colourful NPCs. The bad: sort of – the beginning of the game is made more memorable thanks to both the enemies' and your dokimon being underpowered, which allows for far more strategy and type matchup consideration from the player. This coupled with great QoL features - such as being able to modify movesets, stats, and even teams basically on the go, as well as being able to re-battle trainers with their level ACTUALLY going up the more you battle with them (seriously, why doesn't Pokémon have this??) - makes for a pleasant experience. Sadly, despite showcasing that it can account for player's presumed level, the other trainers do not scale, meaning you'll probably end up having one trainer you grind to x188 (I know I did) preparing for the end game. Speaking of which, while the mid game suffers from very slow level build-up, where you'll often find yourself OHKOing most enemy dokimon, it suddenly ramps up,
especially in the alt region
. Here the name of the game becomes speed and the ability to OHKO your opponent before they do you, or - worse - endure the evasion spam (which is funny the first few times, not so much when everyone starts doing it). While switching is a valid strategy, unless you counter the move's type, it will still do a lot of damage due to the sheer numbers being thrown around, even in neutral matchups. The bugged: for some reason my starter would always attack the second dokimon in double battles, regardless of which enemy had been selected. This bug doesn't seem to affect any other dokimon, although I may have just missed it if it did. Additionally, there were a few instances during battles where certain moves would be called out by the enemy, yet the effect would differ (e.g. Glimmer doing damage or Alarm raising the user's attack instead); I mainly noticed it during the final boss battle. I'm also pretty sure an NPC's dokimon -
the lvl100 Toola in the alt world
- changed its moveset after it defeated me the first time... With all that said, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely recommend Dokimon Quest to anyone looking for a more casual take on the monster catcher genre, if not for the wonderful graphics, then for the equally wonderful writing :))

just better than most games nowadays xd
Game is quite mediocre. Compared to Pokemon that it is very clearly copying it is worse. Especially when compared to Pokemon fangames. Game does some things better like quality of life features for example game allows you to swap your mons wherever you are in town, you don't need to use PC, you can swap your mons moves without visiting some special NPC, instead of HMs you use items so you don't need to waste move slots. But at same time game has many issues which imo put it behind other pokemon fangames, some of which are free. First of all combat is really bad, it is very sweep heavy and strategic approach hardly exists because of that, status moves are not too useful because what's the point of poisoning enemy if you either one shot him or get one shot. Ik that to some players turn based combat might seem always boring, but there are examples of it done well, this game simply is not one of those. Game also seems to be unfinished, a lot of locations in lategame were fairly empty, there was a city where you could enter literally only 3 buildings, 1 being healing center, 1 being shop 1 being plot building, and it was a major city not a small town. If you managed to grab a game for free it's something you can play to kill some time, but definitely wouldn't recommend buying it considering there are much better pokemon fan games.
感觉和绿宝石很像就试着玩了这款游戏,结果这游戏的音乐听着真难受,一般来说毕竟是免费的游戏我大多不会给差评,但是这游戏音乐听着是真的难受,难受到了让人头疼的地步
7/10
simple chinese e or traditional chinese please.
Pretty clunky controls and interface, not a fan. Lots of nice QoL features but not really fun to get into, opening sequence just wasn’t particularly compelling. Will probably give it another chance at some point, but not a great first impression.
This is startlingly good in its own right. I'm not the world's biggest Pokemon fan but a friend of mine suggested I give it a try, and the GB/GBC vibe was charming enough to make me curious. It plays really well, though sometimes it can be hard to determine where I'm supposed to be going or what I'm supposed to be doing. It's a really good time and it's definitely worth a try.
