DOG is a very simple idle clicker built around collecting virtual dogs and chasing rare items. I click to earn progress, unlock different dogs and slowly build up my collection while the game runs in the background. There is not really a traditional adventure or story here, and I do not think it is trying to be one. The main idea is collecting things, watching the numbers go up and waiting for new items to appear. It is about as straightforward as an idle game can get, but the dog theme gives it enough personality to make the basic idea a little more enjoyable. The collecting system is probably the part I find most interesting. There are different rarity levels for the items I can obtain, including common, uncommon, rare and legendary items. Some items can also have special versions such as Holo and Foil, which gives me another reason to keep checking what I have unlocked. The Steam inventory connection is also a big part of the game because the items can become tradable Steam items. I like having something physical in my inventory to work towards, although the actual gameplay behind getting those items is extremely basic. The problem is that there is not much for me to actually do. Clicking and waiting is basically the whole experience, and once I understand the system there are not many interesting decisions left. I can keep collecting different dogs and items, but there is no deep strategy or complicated progression to keep me occupied. The timed drops add another reason to leave the game running, but they do not really make the gameplay itself more engaging. I think this works better as something I have open in the background than something I sit down and actively play for a long session. I do like how simple the presentation is. The cute dog theme fits the idea perfectly, and the game does not need complicated graphics when the main focus is collecting items. There are also Steam achievements, statistics, leaderboards and cloud support, which give the otherwise tiny experience a few extra features. I appreciate that it knows what it is trying to be rather than pretending there is some huge adventure hidden underneath the clicking. At the same time, those extra features do not really fix the biggest issue, which is that the core gameplay is very limited. The timed item system is where I have the most mixed feelings. Getting something new after leaving the game running can be satisfying, especially when it is a rarer item, but the waiting itself is not particularly exciting. The game also has a capsule system for some items that requires keys, which adds another layer to the collecting side without adding much actual gameplay. I can see the appeal of building a complete collection, but for me that is only going to last as long as I still care about getting the next item. Once that motivation disappears, there is not much else to fall back on. Overall, DOG is a very basic idle collecting game that gets some value from its cute theme and Steam item system. I like the rarity system, collecting different items and having something that can run quietly in the background, but I cannot ignore how little there is to actually play. The idea is fine for a small casual experience, but the lack of meaningful progression and interaction keeps it from being something I would spend a lot of time actively playing. For me, it is a decent little collector game that works best when I treat it as a background experience rather than a full game. Rating: 6.7/10

much wow
很无聊的点狗狗游戏。
Впервые вижу анимированный кликер. Это выглядит прикольно. Ещё и взаимодействовать с собакой можно, бросая мяч.
