I'm conflicted on whether to recommend this or not. I expected a game similar to the fashion games I used to play on the DS. DIY Fashion Star is not that, though. It's a simple, colorful and straight-forward dress-up game that took me back to the days of online dress-up minigames. It has good enough graphics and the gameplay is relatively easy. However, that's also in it's detriment: it's repetitive and doesn't really tempt you to play it for more than a few hours. The missions are so randomly assigned that you get missions requiring clothes you won't unlock until the end of the "story". You get nothing for going up in rank in the leaderboard. The selfie/photo battles are so randomly scored that you never know if you'll get a good rating. The DLC barely adds anything to the game. You can't change backgrounds, time or objects. All of those things together made this a bit of a frustrating experience by the second hour. At a few bucks with all of the DLC, I don't feel like this was too much of a waste of my money (a dollar per hour of play? that's more than other games have given me). I don't know if it's worth much more than that, though. Get it on a sale and get a whiff of the nostalgia, but don't expect much more from it.

Стоит начать с того, что я девушка, а значит - прямая целевая аудитория. Мне зашло. Хороший симулятор и dress-up игра, где можно почти свободно экспериментировать с одеждой. Хотя это и не «Великий Кутюрье», почивший на просторах ВКонтакте. Из плюсов: + разнообразие инструментов и свобода кастома одежды + охота за лайками, которая не даёт заскучать + простой английский, который поймёт даже ребёнок Из минусов: - кривое управление ножницами (право, я возненавидела оборки на юбках) - невозможно накрасить героиню (по крайней мере, у меня не получилось) - игра быстро надоедает, потому что она довольно-таки однообразная: вырежи, кастомизируй, выложи в блог, повтори. И так 15 раз на одну ачивку. - игра полностью проходится меньше, чем за 2 часа Не лучший представитель девичьих dress-up игр, но он и стоит не так дорого, чтобы попробовать.
