Disturbed is an atmospheric indie horror adventure that focuses on creating a sense of uncertainty, isolation, and curiosity rather than relying on constant action or traditional scare tactics. Developed and published by iBlackpen, the game places players in the role of a struggling farmer whose life has reached a difficult point. The journey begins with a simple premise but gradually transforms into a mysterious and unsettling experience where exploration, choices, and discovery become the main focus. The game’s greatest strength is its ability to create an uncomfortable atmosphere through simplicity. The environments feel lonely and unfamiliar, making every area worth exploring and every discovery feel significant. Instead of overwhelming players with enemies or dramatic horror moments, it builds tension through its quiet presentation and the feeling that something is always wrong. The sense of vulnerability is a major part of the experience, as players are encouraged to think carefully about their actions and the possible consequences that follow. Gameplay combines exploration, survival elements, and decision-based progression. Players must investigate their surroundings, uncover secrets, and figure out how to move forward while dealing with unexpected events. The experience rewards patience and attention because important details can easily be missed. The lack of excessive guidance adds to the mystery, making players feel like they are truly trying to understand a strange world rather than simply following a marked path. The storytelling approach is another highlight. The narrative does not rely on lengthy explanations but instead allows players to piece together information through their own discoveries. Themes of desperation, loneliness, and uncertainty are presented in a subtle way, creating a more personal experience. The game leaves room for interpretation, which helps maintain interest even after completing the main journey. Players who enjoy analyzing hidden meanings and forming their own conclusions will likely find more value in its storytelling style. The visual design supports the unsettling tone effectively. While it does not focus on highly detailed graphics, the presentation succeeds in creating a memorable mood. The environments have a strange atmosphere that encourages exploration, while the limited visual information often makes the imagination more powerful than what is directly shown. The sound and overall pacing also contribute to the feeling of tension, helping create moments where anticipation becomes the source of fear. However, the game’s unconventional design may not appeal to everyone. Players looking for fast-paced horror, complex combat, or a lengthy adventure may find the experience too short and minimalistic. Some mechanics require experimentation, and the lack of clear direction can occasionally make progression confusing. These aspects can be viewed either as weaknesses or as intentional choices that reinforce the feeling of being lost and uncertain within the game world. Despite its limitations, the experience stands out because of its unique combination of horror, exploration, and simulation-inspired elements. It demonstrates how a smaller-scale project can create memorable moments through atmosphere and creative ideas rather than relying only on visual effects or expensive production. Its unusual concept gives it a distinct identity among indie horror titles. On Steam Deck, the game should be a comfortable experience due to its modest design and slower pace. The gameplay style works well for handheld sessions, allowing players to explore at their own speed. While individual performance may vary depending on settings, its overall structure makes it a suitable choice for portable play. Disturbed is an intriguing psychological horror experience that succeeds through mood, mystery, and experimentation. It may not provide the depth or polish of larger horror games, but it delivers an engaging journey for players who appreciate unusual concepts and atmospheric storytelling. Those who enjoy short, mysterious, and unconventional indie games will likely find something memorable in its unsettling world. Rating: 8/10

I followed a guide to basically 100% this game. But trust me this indie game is genuinely alot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, best visual novel i know of. Its basically a choose your path exploration game where the main character dies a 1000 different ways, and it has a really satisfying true ending that i really enjoyed. This game deserves some love on the story, dialogue and incredibly wonderful art alone.
Очень густая атмосфера безысходности, мрака и обречённости. Своего рода, "Туринская лошадь" от мира визуальных новелл. Короче говоря, рекомендую
Simple but fun. Great atmosphere, good music.

Love it.

Quick, seemingly hand drawn visual novel with multiple endings. Enjoyable, easy to play, and kinda reminiscent of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Great controls to fast forward through previously-read screens. I used a community member guide to see all endings, but you can choose-your-own-adventure for more hours of play. Would recommend to those looking to get into visual novels on Steam.
