Very solid mahjong game. Characters are charming, and the addition of player abilities is a fun twist, even if I don't know how to properly take advantage of all of them.
I love women and nyan binary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
One of the best riichi mahjong clients on steam. LOVE a mahjong game without gacha. The titular dirtbag/story mode is fun but not the main reason I bought it, I really just really love mahjong and don't have time to play online with friends all the time. The characters were really charming and grew on me a lot. I think this is great for those who are familiar with the game and want to spice things up a little and for beginners looking to learn the ropes and experiment. All this to say: I'm a dirtbag mahjong enjoyer <3

It's neat! I like it.
this game's got some charm, pretty decent for a mahjong novice like me! admittedly, the text size and some UI elements feel a bit small for my strained eyes (even on a steam deck). [edit after clearing all the stories] I did really enjoy the stories and how feasible the missions felt! I'm at least competent enough to get mostly-finished hands!
Well, now I'm bad at riichi mahjong. Which is more than I could a say four hours ago!
An absolutely lovely game that does a fantastic job of introducing you to the glorious hell that is Mahjong. If you've been wishing to learn this board game for various reasons, Dirtbag Mahjong is a wonderful passion project to try and introduce you in it's best way to everything Mahjong has to offer. I particularly love the effort put into having both English and traditional Japanese names for all of the hands. Always bet on Thirteen Orphans it will never go wrong. (Also please buy this game so I can play multiplayer with my friends.)
Nice game. It would be better if language has Chinese. Mahjong is popular in China (exp. the game Mahjong Soul), so please develop Chinese for sales volume. And I think AI translation is totally OK for English to Chinese.
Really enjoyed this. I was new to Mahjong and got those to complement Kemono on my phone (I don;t want to just re-buy the same thing on Steam), and this has been a great learning tool playing regular mode, but going through the stories was also great -- enjoyable writing, adorable art, and the abilities spice up the game and make you try different strategies. My biggest critique is that the two low-difficulty characters' chapters have a lot of game goals that require you lose games (or at least do worse than another character) -- It's not rewarding to have throw away a good hand, especially when you are learning. Fortunately those goal types are limited to a few chapters. The game summary screen could maybe use some more scoring details, but that's really all I can complain about, and the the pros far outweigh the cons. Great game, get it.
