About
Devil Spire Falls is a procedurally generated, open-world, hardcore action-RPG built around dynamic and interconnected systems and mechanics.
Create your own unique character and delve into this dark fantasy world where the actions of heroes past caused the first Devil Spire to fall, and spread an accursed fog throughout the land... And the monsters that lurked within.
Explore the overworld, conquer dungeons, become the town hero, raze every village to the ground, hunt monsters, slay bosses, slaughter bandits or nomad camps, kill that merchant, run away, build your own home, gather your party, go on quests, farm, fish, mine, hunt, tame... The possibilities are endless!
In this world where nothing is predetermined... Everything is permitted. No character is so important it can't be killed. No dungeon is made to be an easy or even fair challenge. No obstacle can't be smartly circumvented or brute-forced through. You will enter a world of its own, unconcerned with your well-being, and unprotected against your machinations! And of course, your choices are permanent, and they matter.
Fully customizeable character creation, including facial features, with several Races, Classes and Origins, backed by a deep, real RPG system with 7 attributes, skills, perks, equipment, magic and more!
18 unique weapon classes with their own special properties! From swords to flails, from bows to muskets, and from throwing knifes to javelins. You're sure to find one that suits your tastes! Or just use your own fists and feet!
35 Skills with 9 Perks each! Unlock special attacks, acquire new actions, get rid of limiters, learn how to craft mighty weapons, build your own house, double-jump, or simply unlock a door and disarm traps, etc. With enough training, your powers will know no limits!
Create your own spells with over 100 effects, from buffing to burning, invisibility to telekinesis, shrinking to transforming... There's enough magicks to fill an entire library with arcane grimoires!
A deep combat system with several unique attacks, blocking and parrying, dodges, kicks, and much more. You must use every tool at your disposal to outmaneuver your enemies, conserve your stamina, leave them stunned and confused, and emerge victorious!
Physics and environmental shenanigans: Throw items at enemies, kick them off cliffs, build your own bridges and stairs, sneak past them while snuffing out lights, use the traps and whatever else is around you to come out on top!
Climb anything, swim to the deepest depths, leap over mountains, fly above the clouds, tame and ride a horse... or learn how to run faster than them. There are many ways to traverse this vast world, and reach every room in the treacherous dungeons. Just how many secrets lie in the far reaches of the world, or behind a secret wall?
In-depth NPC interaction system: Trade items, chit-chat, join factions, do quests, get trained, ask for information, recruit them to your party... not to mention all the interactions outside civil conversation like pick-pocketing, murder, induced coma, and other accidents!
An endless amount of items, activities, interactables and things to build or destroy, all interlinked and working with each other! Build your own base, grow your own crops, gather, mine and fish, or just destroy anything that stands in your path. The choice is yours!
While you have the freedom to do whatever it is you desire... The Urge to conquer a newly risen Devil Spire does not leave your mind. Will you repeat the errors of the past, discover the truths behind the massive towers, or simply take their power as your own? You now have the entire world to explore, conquer, and scour for answers!

So I'm going to say this feels like a cross between an early morrowind alpha (I played) and goat simulator. All the glorious bugs included. I haven't laughed so hard with the frustration of me leaving a house, and my horse jumped on my head... Could not get it off... I cast flight flew off... *who needs a horse* Another bug caused the horse to instantly die when i landed at mach 2 face plant into the ground. Killing it and knocked me down to 1 hit point. Flight spell was pretty hilarious. After some polish and bug fixes it's only going to get better. Probably needs a pass for Over Powered skills to extend the game play for new players.
Create spell for example. Allows bypassing a lot of spell exploration and gives a exponential god-like growth in a few hours. I really couldn't help myself to break the game. I do feel it allowed me to bypass a lot of the spell finding and organic exploration/growth i would have done otherwise. Now to go through the game again resisting the easy spoils creating infinite potions, spell books, skill tomes or just creating a LEVEL 10 spell of earn experience.
Spoilers aside, started a new character. Already seeing a lot of the other opportunities and small features to replay the game.

A superb experience, it feels a lot like Daggerfall but more intuitive and fun. Physical skills feel fun, exploration is interesting. Magic seems to be incredibly deep and broad, I'm still figuring it out. I'll probably add more to the review later, I just wanted to give it a thumbs up right away!
I love living like a peasant and eating ♥♥♥♥ and dying in the sewer also the game is pretty cool
Such a weird game that I cant to shake off thinking of through out the day. I give this one a 10/10 and hope to see more large content updates :) Thank you!

amazing
I'm currently flying around as a fairy madman with a warhammer bonking bandits and monsters flying around so bandits hit their buddies and kill them by accident and i scoop up the loot this gameplay is so satisfying
I'm not as far in as I'd like to be yet due to time constraints, so maybe I'll hit a wall sooner or later, but right now I'll say this game has a heck of a lot of potential and already is doing great with what it does have. I've seen comparisons to Morrowind, but this doesn't go far enough back at all. This game is Daggerfall, but you can do 1000x more in crafting and it has building, plus an overall more realistic point of view on some things like that some structures should be breakable even if you're meant to pull a switch to open them. Dungeon design feels a bit like Daggerfall, but, more extremely, world design feels like Daggerfall. (Most just hit fast travel so maybe didn't see the world, but it's a lot like this except less smooth and less hilly.) Except you can build a house and fill it with crafting tables. Can't do that in Daggerfall... All in all it has some of the similar feel of clunkiness and etc you got in the experimental 3D eras like Daggerfall but also the "not necessarily made to be fun" but interesting mechanics like an actually large game world (so many modern open world games feel like you're just running around in a large park! I want a game world!) I do wish the music were better. They're clearly going for a certain sort of style and it sort of fits the mood, but it's kind of jarring and unpleasant for me. I wonder if someday modding might be possible, but probably not. (Godot is a nice engine, but isn't really supported by modders unfortunately. Thus we have no true BepInEx equivalent.) On the subject of Godot though, this does have some advantages. I love in particular that this game just runs on Linux natively without any jumping through hoops. I hit install, selected Vulkan, and presto, I was in the native version. As far as I can determine it runs at least as well as the Windows version running in Proton. I can't really tell a difference other than that I have to use vkBasalt instead of Reshade for stuff like SMAA. Oh, and I almost forgot, but this game is efficient! A lot of modern games are ridiculous. Some really horribly optimized UE games can almost hit 500W on my machine! Most of the best looking Unity games can be 300+. This game runs around 150. In comparison, web browsers can hit 150 as I tab around and browse things. I don't have access to low end hardware to test this on, but I bet it runs on practically anything. Which is more than most games designed to look retro actually do in actual practice... All in all this game is already very fun and I see a whole heck of a lot of promise for its future too. It's never going to be mainstream, but that's ok because this allows it to give us what a mainstream game couldn't give us. We already have plenty of Skyrim Super-Ultra-2000th Anniversary 6 edition 2 releases if we want AAA.
Sure it's a fantastic RPG game,it's remind me the golden age of RPG,Look forward to see the final version and recommend everyone to try it.
From the graphics to the obscure mechanics, this game has me hooked. I had no idea what I was doing at first and then it clicked, and now I still have no idea what I'm doing, but now I'm flying around the map with double jumps and launching npcs into space with my charge attacks. It may be early access, but it's great already and is CONSTANTLY being updated. Well worth it.
