As someone who did not play this game when i was a kid i would not recommend this game. Action games have progresses so far past this, if you wanna play this nonsense for history and for likes on the internet go ahead. If you want to play a FUN and enjoyable action game skip this collection. If you want to do constant back tracking, experience nonsensical level design and annoying bosses knock yourself out with this collection. I did not even bother to finish the first game because i ran out of the yellow orbs at the end of the mission and guess what, i had the pleasure of starting the mission all over. No thanks, if you value your time mod this game to include infinite yellow orbs because restarting the level is a ginormous waste of anyone's time. DMC 3 is pretty great for the most part. In my view the combat is pretty fun and has lots of depth. The cutscenes really drive this experience forward as they are action packed. Another high moment was the duo boss fight early in the game, i was honestly pretty shocked to see an ornstein and smough phase transition from a game that came out almost ten years before dark souls. Did not even bother to launch dmc 2. Hella people will say this series is a must play, nonsense. People who say that are either lying for karma on the chud filled r/DevilMayCry or it really is their favorite action game because it's the only action game they played. If your are familiar with old ps2 nonsense controls and appalling camera work then you won't mind this game.
