Devil and the Fairy

So far the game seems to be early access abandonware. Many of the levels are unplayable, no updates since march, which was right after release. Hope for more updates in the future, but until then don't waste your money.

Abandoned by developers and miles away from being finished. It's only a little tech demo with almost nothing to do.

This is a fun and charming Tower Defense type game. It has three dungeon maps with three difficulty settings. I could defeat the maps on easy and medium, but hard was very difficult. The price is steep for what you get, but if they add more content it will be a good deal. The graphics are very good, and the characters are adorable. The controls are easy to use, and the overall game experience is smooth and bug free for me.

It's a fairly alright game from a tech standpoint - the controls are nice, and it's fun to see what could potentially be a Dungeon Keeper-esque game in VR. However, for now it's got about 1 hour of gameplay in it as a pretty run-of-the-mill tower defense. The only really innovative element is the VR perspective - the actual gameplay is very simple and offers little in terms of either replay value, storyline, or moments that make you go "wow". If you have the opportunity to pick this up on the cheap in a bundle, sure, go for it, it'll provide a bit of amusement. But it's not worth the current £7 it's priced at, and appears to have been dropped to the wayside by the developer. A shame, as the scaffolding for a fun story and great game is here, but current all that's there is a skeleton.

Similarly to their Townsmen game, don't make the mistake of passing on this pretty unique VR entry. The game is short, but quite a polished spin on your typical tower defense game. Granted, I'm not sure there's anything essentially unique about the gameplay itself, except the VR interface is really well done and there's nothing like watching tiny goblins and knights fighting in front of you like a bunch of miniature toys.

Abandonware - last update is from 2018

This is the second game I've picked up from this developer (the other being the newer Townsmen). In both cases they are early access, have a bunch of comments from people complaining about lack of updates and are limited in scope such that they feel a bit like a demo for a full game, but in both cases what is there is actually really polished and genuinely fun. The art style and graphics are really good and the game does a great job of making you feel like you've been dropped into a crazy little Dungeon Keeper-esque diorama. Personally, for what I paid, even if neither game got updated again, I'd be satisfied. If more gets added then that will be a lovely surprise.
