A great game, but I'm too stupid to figure out a lot of these puzzles. Sorry for the refund.

I really liked the idea of this game, but the execution end up being less about... exploring? and more about just solving puzzles. Of course, this IS a puzzle game and I wasn't expecting to just click folders and stumble through it all just like that, but the whole interesting premise of "using an old OS to explore what previous users of the computer left behind" is executed quite unsatisfyingly. It also doesn't help that I found some of the puzzles very difficult and at times unsatisfying to solve, and the second part of the game changed into something that interested me even less and increased in what I though of as tedious aspects of the game. It's still by no means bad, but it was extremely Not For Me and I wish it had been more like I imagined the concept as.

Fantastic game! Each "section" has fresh and unexpected mechanics with interesting (but not frustrating) puzzles. Hope this team makes another FakeOS game in the future!

A bit of a work-out in terms of brain usage but very, VERY well made! I've been streaming it with a few friends and it's an absolute TREAT with buddies! Collaborating with them on puzzles and mutually experiencing the game has been one of the most fun things yet :] I highly recommend, and, though certainly I've only beaten the first third of the game, Desktop Explorer is showing some very, VERY interesting gameplay mechanics! Go play it!

The game's solid 8/10. Definitely worth the price and time. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE, PUT UP AN EPILEPSY WARNING.

review after finishing the game - story wise i undrestood about 30% of the lore , thought it might have been my own fault NEVERTHELESS THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PUZZLE GAMES IVE EVER PLAYED 100% RECCOMEND!
