I mixed a classic turn-based strategy game (Heroes of Might and Magic 3) with deck building game like Slay the Spire. Also added a lot of reptiles :) Immerse yourself in a rich fantasy world. Develop your town and armies. Collect cards to create new crazy strategies.

About
Demiurges is a strategic roguelike game. Your mission is to save the world from destruction. To achieve this, you will need to build a deck of cards that defines your strategy, then carefully command your heroes to defeat your enemies.
You can move all of your heroes across the map. While exploring, they may discover new items, resources, special structures, and enemies that serve as valuable sources of experience. Defeating a region's guardian unlocks a new area of the map filled with fresh challenges. Once you obtain the Grail, the entire map advances to the next level.

One of the most important keys to success is building the right deck. Before each battle, you can create a deck using the cards you have already unlocked. Cards are obtained from packs that can be purchased with gems earned during gameplay. To play cards, you need resources that can be produced or gathered on the map. Be careful—some cards require sacrifices in order to be played.

When you encounter an enemy on your journey, you can engage them in battle. Combat takes place in a turn-based system on a hexagonal grid. Units take their turns based on their Initiative. Every unit has unique passive and active abilities, so you'll need to think carefully about every move to make the best use of their strengths.
Each faction has its own city. Using cards, you can develop it to support your strategy. Build new structures, recruit units, construct special buildings, and produce valuable resources.
You begin each run with a single Demiurge, but map events and cards allow you to recruit more. Demiurges are powerful heroes capable of casting spells and wielding mighty artifacts. By defeating enemies and gaining experience, a Demiurge learns new abilities and grows even stronger. They also command an army that fights alongside them against their foes.

This is a special game mode where you can test your skills against other players. Choose your cards wisely to build the strongest possible army, then send it into battle against seven other players in an autobattler competition.

This game is fun, it's essentially Heroes 3 but roguelike with deckbuilding mechanics. You gonna fail, a lot of times, but thanks to that you can get more cards and build better deck. Though I feel that 20 cards is too little to have in deck in the long run, not saying that there shouldn't be any limit because that's the part of the game and I understand it, but maybe boost it to like 30? Really like the way Leadership skill works, that makes you plan your army more than in Heroes. Not a big fan of combat music but that's my taste I guess, the map music is good tho. Overall this game have a lot of potential, just take your time to finish it as good as you can. Gonna be playing it for a while, that's for sure.
I've been playing this game for quite a while now (it was out as a demo before the release) and I really like it. As everyone has already said, it is very much inspired by the Heores of Might and Magic games. I love and play all those games and Demiurges is a nice fresh take on the formula. Overall it's fun! I genuinely just have a good time playing the game! Pros: Solid HoMM-like core gameplay Great variety in troops (gameplay and design wise) It feels good to experiment using the deck building system The dev responds to feedback and communicates well with players Cons: The biggest thing that's holding the game back is that the deck building systems needs work. A lot of cards need to be balanced (power and cost) to make more viable strategies. There are some cards that you would never pick for any reason and others that are a must-have. The game can be frustratingly hard especially as your progress

Will keep checking in on this one, promising, hope steam deck / controller settings will be refined. no crashes, just mouse oriented. like the monster vibe, many heroes inspired games focus on boring human-ish factions and i literally hate playing as elves for the 1000th time. lizards are cool, hoping for skellies
Interesting game! I’ve already played for a few hours, and I’m curious to see what awaits in the locked regions :). It has its flaws—the music isn’t great, and the difficulty is quite high, requiring some grinding to succeed. However, the very good thing is that the developer is highly responsive and listens to feedback. Hopefully, these aspects will be tweaked, and the game will become a very fun HoMaM and roguelite mix :).
HoMM merges with roguelite elements and the result is a really good game. you can expand your deck with card packs. This quickly adds variety to the game
