This game almost got my Spotify account banned just because I wanted to play my own music, 10/10
Sifu meets Beat Hazard in the most perfect way.
Modded it so i get to throw hands as Agnes Tachyon to the beat of my playlist. Very good for the cortisol.
I'm sorry but I can't upvote this game, as much as I'd love to. The inputs and the music are just off beat on some main songs, like this Arora fight, the music just has a random beat, you don't know when to press the button, it just feels off, and when you press the dodge or parry right on circle you still get hit.
It's fun, but not great. The gameplay is repetitive, the hub world is time-wastey garbage, and there's only 4 very short levels. Should've let this one bake a lot longer.
A friend streamed this game to me and suggested I get it. I do enjoy rhythm games a lot so decided why not. Ended up trying it out at 11pm and going to bed at 4am the next day, the gameplay loop is so addicting and something I didn't realise I'd been craving until I had it. Really keen to see where the rest of the story goes and what new bosses/fights/features are to come but for now you've absolutely hooked me on this. Also fun little side fact, as soon as I heard Prophet's voice I thought "Damn this guy's clean but... he sounds familiar". After a quick google search I realised it was the man himself Mazbou Q who does some amazing stuff and a lot of rap flow breakdowns and analysis. Thought that was awesome.
