this game has a nasty habit of releasing buyable content and then removing it from being played in current game updates. the developers are the cause they are greedy and cannot get along with 3rd party developers. hard to spend money on a product like this. also the game is full of bugs and terribly optimized for multiplayer. this game definitely needs a competitor to be decent.
Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) World stands as the definitive experience for those who have ever dreamed of taking to the skies in some of the most iconic military aircraft ever built. Unlike traditional arcade flight games, DCS is a "study-level" simulator, meaning it tries to painstakingly recreates the physics, complex cockpit systems, and flight dynamics of real-world jets like the F/A-18C Hornet or the A-10C Warthog. For aviation enthusiasts, the level of immersion is unparalleled; flipping through hundreds of interactive switches and mastering radar modes provides a sense of accomplishment that few other games can match. However, this depth comes with a steep learning curve. DCS is not a "pick-up-and-play" experience; it requires patience, study, and a commitment to learning procedures, navigation, and weapon employment. The base game is free-to-play and includes two starter aircraft, allowing newcomers to test their interest without an upfront cost. While the high-fidelity modules can become an investment, the sheer scale of the mission editor and the expansive online multiplayer community ensure that there is always a new challenge to tackle. Whether you are performing a carrier landing in a storm or orchestrating a complex air-to-ground strike, DCS World offers a breathtakingly realistic window into the world of modern aviation. If you are willing to dedicate the time to learn, it rewards you with the most authentic flight simulation experience currently available on the PC. I know deep down I will never be as good as I would like to be at this, but the experience in VR is something to behold, sitting in the cockpit in full stereoscopic 3-D and looking all around is incredible, just playing with the switches and controls trying to learn what does what never gets old. You can jump straight into free flight allowing yourself the ability to get right into the skies and allowing you to take control of these iconic jets from many different eras is awesome. Just seeing how far you can get, what kind of maneuvers you can make and what you can accomplish is so much fun. This title is not for everyone it can get quite expensive to own all the modules, missions and maps so i recommend trying the free version first before committing yourself to this.

Игра хорошая но я не буду читать инструкцию к палубному истребителю СУ-33 на 180 страниц
сочная игра когда можно скачать мод на украину и пиздануть туда орешник. Спасибо разрабы.
If you have the many many hours it would take to understand this game, i'm sure you'd enjoy it, but personally it's WAY too complicated. I really tried to get past the learning curve, but it's just not for me. Not to mention, if you want to fly a plane with English labels, you have to buy one, which is more expensive than most full games.(insane) The fact that you are forced to start learning the game with a plane that has Russian labels instead of English, just makes the learning curve that much steeper.
Absolutely cannot recommend this game, biggest money grab ever. First off, i love this game, i have the original launcher from the games website and played it for many hours. I bought several of there modules "planes" which cost around 300 euro or more give or take. No problem. Then the game came out about a year or two later on steam. As someone who prefers my games on steam in general just because steam sale dates are for all the games on steam etc, convience of installing from steam, you know the deal, i wanted this game on steam. No problem, i bought the game again for steam happily i might add. So now i own the game twice, not a big deal. Here is where it all goes sideways in the worst cash grab way possible. First, i bought more modules "planes" on steam, cool... Then i went to play the game. It will only allow me to play the game through the main launcher install "if i want to use my original planes and the new ones i bought on steam, which is now forcing me to play through there original launcher, which means i wasted my money buying the steam version. No problem, i will simply just do the reversal on website and transfer my modules from original to steam so i can play everything on steam, yeah no, you have to rebuy the modules you do not own on steam, again on steam. This just blows my mind to the point of greed at it;s worst. Do not support scummy business practices folks and stay clear.
dont get it via steam go to their official website and get it there you get way more benefits
Played this game for almost 3 years now, very much recommend. If you're looking for the most realistic combat flight sim out there, this is it. It has many full fidelity favorites from different eras such as A-10, F-16C, F-14, F-18C, F-4E, AJS-37, MiG-15, MiG-21, MiG-29, Mirage F1, and a variety of helicopters(though mainly $60-80), and lower fidelity modules like the Su-27/33, MiG-29, F-15C (FC2024 bundle). I recommend buying on sales, which happen somewhat often, usually 30-50% off. Additionally, there are many free mods for this game that are very high quality, like F-22, Su-30, Su-35, and A-4. (Su-30/35 and A-4 are standalone, meaning you can fly them for free.) I started with just keyboard and mouse, but I highly, highly recommend using a joystick for this game. It has a very steep learning curve. Don't spend an hour downloading and expect to be in the air in 10 minutes, and kicking ass in an hour. It took like 3 weeks to learn how to actually be effective in my first full fidelity module, the F-16C, but the FC planes can be learned pretty quick, maybe a day or two to be able to fight some AI and some players. Using the mission editor, I've spent most of time creating missions of various realistic and unrealistic scenarios and playing them, or in multiplayer servers constantly dying. But when it all goes right, there is not a more rewarding feeling.
Want to play DCS for first time. Need to buy larger hard 1tb drive for $80 as this game is way too big. Wait 4 days while DCS installs. Spend a week learning the SU-25 on keyboard. Spend $30 on a joystick. Enjoy the SU-25. Spend $40 on MIG-21. Uh oh cant fly it without head tracking!!! Wait another week. Spend $300 on VR headset. Spend $40 on cable to run PCVR. Wait a week for cable to arrive. Cable arrives! Log onto steam to finally play DCS DCS needs to update and will take 9 hours to install. Please optimise your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, it has been 3 weeks and I'm $500 down. I would like to fly the pixel plane without having to wait literal days for code that doesnt affect any module I own to install. Atleast let me play last week's version.
