Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best AU #89, worst UK #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Sep 11 → 24.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

There’s been a backlog of unsolved cases piling up in the Minor Crimes Division of the Los Zorangeles Police Department and we’ll need a Database Detective to help solve them.
We’ll need you to analyze clues and manipulate data using SQL, a database querying language, to figure out who perpetrated crimes from as minor as littering to as serious as not checking out of a hotel after the check-out time.

Don’t worry! This role is intended to be accessible for those without any SQL experience, so each Database Detective is given an introductory textbook when they start! This short textbook is less than 20 pages and explains everything that’s needed to solve each case.
If you still have trouble writing queries, our comprehensive error messaging system will tell you exactly where your query went wrong, making it easy to correct your mistakes.
Still not enough? Each Database Detective is assigned an assistant who’s ready to answer any questions you might have, whether they be about the case itself or the SQL queries you’ll need to write!

Understanding how to manipulate data using SQL is not the only part of being a Database Detective! Your job will also require you to piece together evidence and clues, just like a real detective! Further on in your Database Detective career, you’ll have to sleuth through the internet and piece cases together yourself.
Fully voice acted mission briefings at the beginning of each case!
Fully hand drawn art for you to enjoy!
More than 40 websites to explore!
10 cases for you to solve, each case getting longer and more complex!
A total of around 8-10 hours of valuable work experience to add to your resume!

This game is an absolute gem. I'm at case 8 / 10 at this stage and I've been having an absolute blast. It's very well made, the increase in difficulty with each new case is steady but always interesting and on top of that, it's hilarious. Now, sure, SQL and datasets are kind of at the heart of the game. You're going to have to use it and If you know SQL already, you'll probably finish the game quicker than what's advertised as figuring that part out is supposed to be part of the fun (the SQL manual is funny too, and really helpful). The good thing is that the SQL implementation in this game is just the right amount of features and possibilities to make it powerful enough without going too crazy in complexity. That being said, if you know SQL already, it won't mean you're going to get away easy with it either! The core mechanic of each case is as follow: starting from a narrow list of clues that are given to you at the start, you're going to have to find more and more hidden ones. Some useful, some not. It's up to you to use actual deduction and logic, as with any (non SQL-based) investigation game to figure out the case, and what the relevant information is. All this to, eventually, build a SQL query that will allow you to narrow down a number of possibilities of suspects from one or more datasets to one single row. By the way, this final step of working out your way through the dataset down to this one single possibility is incredibly satisfying and is where the dopamin peaks :D Highly recommend to anyone, but especially to those who can experience some sort of excitment when looking at spreadsheets.

I suck ass at SQL
Muito divertido
QUIERO MAS!
A great little game to learn the basics of SQL and make you feel like Sherlock Holmes when you find the one guy that chewed with their mouth open on a Tuesday at 3pm at the county fair.
Quick Review
Overall: Pretty good game. Fun logic puzzles that can also serve as an okay SQL tutorial for beginners.
More Details
The puzzles in this are really fun and satisfying to solve. Challenges start very easy but get harder at each sequential level. I had a couple cases where narrowed down the list of potential suspects to a few people and had to guess which one was right, but that could have just been me missing an additional clue somewhere. The little mole man assistant is good at pointing you where you generally need to go to figure out the case, but not so helpful if you hit a very specific roadblock. As a SQL tutorial, this isn't bad. I deal with a decent amount of SQL for work, so I tried a bunch of things just to see if they would work. Most aggregate functions beyond the ones in the in-game manual don't work. No UPPER or LOWER functions to switch string case, which would have been nice at a few points. CONCAT works but you don't really need it, just nice to have. All the dates in the game are expressed as integers, so all SQLite DATE functions aren't available and wouldn't be useful even if they were. This works as a decent beginner SQL tutorial, but only for the absolute basics. Could be improved by adding more SQL functions and datatypes, with puzzles that require the player to use them.
