Darkest Dungeon® II

I found this game to be ok and give it a 6.5/10, which is bad to average considering DD1, which for me was 10/10 in every aspect. For this game, roguelike means luck will play a big part in your runs whether you like it or not. There is a learning curve in figuring out which groups are effective for which maps and that adds some complexity and a factor of trial and error. Character growth is very brief and does not persist between new runs + runs can take about 2 hours to complete so it is a big commit when you start one. If you have played DD1 imagine that you assemble a group of characters of your choice and you start your run from a Ruins type map, you complete the map and then you camp and then move on to some other type of map like Warrens and then you camp and then you move on to another type of map like Weald until you finish that and then fight the boss. All of this back to back and this was your run. You play 5 of such chapters in total and then you finish the game. They should have taken the DD1 recipe and expanded on that instead honestly. In conclusion, enjoyable but I don't want to replay it. Buy it when it's on sale.
