Thinks I don't like: - Having to unlock each character's abilities one by one. It encourages blasting shrines on lower difficulties before pushing on to higher ones, which is not fun. One time I clicked on a Shrine of Reflection with Bounty Hunter and just wasted the whole thing. - Unlocking new items and trinkets gives those things to you for your next run, which makes it feel like a massive loss if you don't bring a team that synergizes with them. I also unlocked a ton of items on a run and immediately was over-encumbered and had to dump half my inventory. Not fun. - Bad quirk descriptions. Things like "Chatterbox" and "Darkly Curious" are negative quirks but descriptions don't tell you what they do. - Not being able to sell or trade. DD1 let you sell your trinkets, and the same should be true here. - Locking off characters in DLC packs for $10 apiece. Ugh. Things I like: - Trinkets have interesting synergies and enable cool playstyles. A trinket that massively increases max health but lowers damage works great on a tank character like the Man-at-Arms. I equipped my diseased Leper with the Sickening Silence trinket and watched enemies attack him and poison themselves to death. - Each character has options. Characters thrive in the right circumstances, but can get by in less ideal situations. - Art style is awesome. - Wiping a run sucks, but you still get some progress. You can also abandon a run and start over quickly.

Different than DD1 but not bad. Takes some getting used to if you played the ♥♥♥♥ out of the first but its not a bad thing. Not sure what people wanted when they complain its different. A newer version of the old game? Seems like that would've invited its own form of critics regardless. They made Leper so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool in this one.
Different, cool
darkest dungeon awesome as always. Pls bring back some of the old characters not in the game yet.
