Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Even if it's very short, I won't refund because it's cheap and I want to reward the amount of work this game took, but I consider this to be a waste of time. The "ending" left me confused, so I've looked up a long answer from the dev explaining his artistic vision. Well, I get it, its coherent, but that doesn't make it good or interesting. Or at the very least, let's say it didn't change my opinion and I still disliked the game. The game is so short that it's impossible to say what you disliked without going in spoilers territory. So I'll just say that pretty much nothing clicked for me. Especially not the "gameplay"/game design part. The only positive thing I can say about this is the cutscene and the vibe are unsettling. That's pretty much it. If I were to discuss exactly why the game is disappointing (in a not spoiler free way), I saw a review that articulates perfectly what I think. I won't repeat the same, just go check prester's review : https://steamcommunity.com/id/prester/recommended/3048140

Complete and utter waste of time. Beautiful visuals and cool artstyle, but the gameplay loop is repetitive and dull and the ending is unsatisfying. I couldn't care less if "that's the point", the ending sucks and gives me absolutely 0 desire to ever touch this game again (I played the game twice before coming to the this conclusion.
❗ For the English version, please scroll down.
10 ___ Daemonologie shines brightest when you first jump into it. The premise alone is wonderfully unique: you play as a witch hunter in medieval Scotland, spending five days literally interrogating and torturing villagers before deciding which one to hang for witchcraft. Audiovisually, it’s a brilliant piece of work. The elegant stop-motion cutscenes — depicting the protagonist’s arrival and his unsettling dreams — stand in sharp contrast to the waking world's rough art style, which looks as though it was clawed directly into wood. Similarly, the folk-inspired score during cutscenes clashes effectively with the heavy, oppressive ambient drones playing during daylight hours. And despite being a horror game, it relies on zero cheap jump scares: the terror stems entirely from the suffocating atmosphere and the inherent dread of the situation. The cracks begin to show the moment you figure out the game’s core message — and if you’re paying attention, you’ll likely piece it together by the middle of your first run. Warning: major spoilers ahead.
It doesn't take long to realize that there is no real witch in the village. The protagonist's dreams point the finger at every resident in turn, and under torture, almost anyone will falsely accuse their neighbors. Seeing that first run through to the end is still engaging, just to confirm your suspicions and see how the story resolves — but subsequent playthroughs become a chore. You’re unlikely to uncover any profound new truths on a second run: it’s already obvious that these people are throwing each other under the bus out of malice, ignorance, or a desperate desire to make the torture stop, and the nitty-gritty details of their petty squabbles aren't particularly compelling. If you do push forward with a replay, it quickly devolves into a slog. The endless torture minigames no longer evoke the horror and revulsion of what is literally your protagonist's daily routine; instead, they just induce mind-numbing boredom. In short, once you’ve grasped the point on your initial playthrough, there’s little reason to go back. Furthermore, the game's subtext lacks subtlety and is delivered rather heavy-handedly. Naturally, the hideous, hirsute fisherman turns out to be the most honest and decent person in the village. Naturally, the zealous, fire-and-brimstone priest calling for the witch's head is a massive sinner himself. And yes, the coins the protagonist receives for delivering his final verdict — thirty pieces of silver, obviously. It leaves you feeling that while themes are present, they are sitting right on the surface. A bit more depth and complexity in its symbolism would have gone a long way.
On the technical front, the game runs smoothly: the system requirements are very modest, and I didn’t encounter a single bug. However, the developers' recommendation to play using the Middle Scots language option feels like a questionable design choice — even with the in-game glossary, the text can be quite a struggle to decipher. You’re much better off sticking to standard English. Ultimately, Daemonologie is by no means a bad game. That initial playthrough is genuinely gripping, and the audiovisual presentation is top-tier for a modest indie project. It’s also priced very reasonably. All in all, I do recommend it — but once the core message clicks for you, go ahead and read the spoiler block. Odds are, you won't feel any desire to launch a second run afterward. 7/10
Awesome title. Short but sweet. Keep in mind what is being portrayed here. SPOILERS:
It seemed to me that there might not be a right or wrong answer to who the witch is given the nature of the witch trials and like a real world witch hunter, your judge, jury and executioner so whoever you pick is the witch
fookin scary game lad fook me
The art is great and the art direction was very coherent, was a fan of the creepy stop-motion. Very short game. Not much "gameplay" but it makes for an interesting interactive art piece. If you're vaguely interested in the historical witch trials I'd pick this one up.
I understand that the ending was purposefully left ambiguous, but some who aren't familiar with the history may find it rather confusing and unsatisfying
Maybe the real witch was the friends we tortured along the way
