not as good as garfield kart

1 Star, I like it ^-^
scheiss spiel
the game is pretty awful. horrible gameplay, clunky user interface.
This game is not ready for prime time. Looks like the developer put some time into it, and it "would have" been a nice simulation game...but it is NOT THERE YET!!! Don't waste your time on this one, until the developer does significantly more work on the area of "input" ...for things like "steering wheel" ( I used a Logitech G-923...it recognized it...but fumbled all over trying to set it up for use by the game).
This game runs like a slide show on the specifications it lists. It is a Unity based game, and since I have had a good experience with DreamCarRacing 3D, another Unity based driving game, I thought it would be worth a try. I found the car control was just bad all around. The steering has this delayed feel, and the cars handle in some very strange ways, like rolling over on thier side when trying to climb a steep grade. The handling is very unpredictable, one bump may be huge, but the car absorbs it no problem, the next bump may be smaller and looks smoother, but hitting it sends the car bouncing off the course. The main interest I had in this game was the included track builder/editor that looked pretty good and the workshop listed some nice looking player made tracks. I have been playing DreamCarRacing 3D (another Unity based car game) for over a year, and it runs and drives about 10x better than this game. DCR3D only short coming in my opinion is the track creator is very primitive, limited to dropping checkpoint flags while you drive a car, with no way to edit them once placed, and now way to set the number of laps in a course you create this way. DCR3D does allow you to create custom maps using Unity, but you are still stuck with using the primitive checkpoint flags to mark a course that can be timed. I was hopeful D Series Off Road would be a better game for creating tracks and racing, but after trying the awful driving out, I could see not reason to invest any time into the track builder. Maybe if you have a good gaming rig, it will run better for you, but if you go by the advertised specs, this is a real dog.
