About

Build your cult. Spread the mold. Watch the sky bloom with yellow eyes, click to decay beautifully.

Reality is a thin scab over the void.
It festers.
A yellow stain blooms at the edge of your vision.
Alive. Hungry.
It whispers your name in the language of rot.
You obey.

Cult of the Yellow King is a cosmic horror idle game where you command a cult to summon the Yellow King.
With every click, you surrender another fragment of yourself: memory, tongue, flesh. Each prayer gnaws at your humanity.
Each sacrifice bleeds you hollow.
This is not a path to power, it is a descent into beautiful oblivion.

Generators whisper secrets that scar.
Upgrades demand teeth, skin, sanity.
Unlock fragmented tales of dread as you progress.
Each milestone a fresh horror.
Your skin crawls. Walls grow eyes.
The sky bleeds yellow.
Ascend by shattering your progress.
Choose an elder curse. Begin again, deeper in devotion.

Black metal dirges by Merhum.
Hymns for the end of reason.
The mold has rooted in your throat.
The stars blink shut.
He approaches…
Click, and let the beautiful decay consume you.

I finished the early access content, and I honestly wish I could play more. I knew nothing about The King in Yellow until this game came out, and I love anything Eldrich-esque horror, so I was very intrigued. Highly recommend if you are a fan of idle games and Eldrich horror.
Very promising game. I look forward to the updates. The awesome soundtrack can give me goosebumps.
Extremely promising so far. I'm not normally a fan of clicker games, but I am a fan of the King in Yellow. This is an impressive implementation of both. Despite having a few mechanical/technical kinks to work out the game itself is solid. As you play an actual story line progresses, which keeps you invested and breaks up the monotony typically found in this kind of game. As you play the screen fills up with excellently grotesque artwork. The black metal soundtrack is excellent, too.

It's like playing Lovecraft's version of Cookie Clicker, but with less cookie clicking and more cosmic horror. Music nice too, takes the edge off. 8/10, still has a long way to come out of E.A.
This is a weird, visually basic (yet stylized) game of clicking, finding multipliers, and earning no-click abilities. The music fits the game, but may not be loved by those outside your gaming space. Personally, I love the Yellow King aesthetic in general, and this game didn't let me down. I approve.
So far, great style, fun story and writing. LOVE the soundtrack, props to the metal band whose name escapes me right now. Looking forward to more for sure!
lovecraft cookie clicker. needs polish and a rework so that you can synergize into exponential gains but sits on a solid foundation with an interesting story. only game with a lot of ai that i've found interesting.
I don’t normally play incremental games, but the art style this one drew me in. I like the prestige system in this one. It works kind of like a quest system however, at least in this early stage, I find that cosmic insight and the other main currency accumulate a much faster than the yellow mold so you’ll often just be sitting there waiting for it and maybe it’s we’re just a problem with my copy, but I didn’t seem to be gathering resources when I wasn’t playing the game, but this is all early access so I’ll probably leave a another review when it’s done, I’d still recommend buying it though.
i love my husband the king in yellow glory to carcosa
