Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played through most of this back in I think 2016 or around then and I got almost to the end but never finished this game. I've been on a kick to finish all of the games I started and left partially completed so the other day I reinstalled this to finish the campaign. The game would not get past the opening cut scene and when I looked it on it seems like to have to enable legacy media features on your computer for this to work. Windows already has too much cr ap baked into it that I really didn't feel like adding to it by enabling these features so I'm leaving the game uncompleted. I think I was pretty near the end anyways. The game, as I remember, is fun enough, albeit in terms of gameplay very generic. The game also has a good funniness to it. But I don't think it's a good 2026 purchase since it doesn't really work well w/o installing some things you may not want to. If you are okay installing these things then go for it and buy the game. I did try running the game in compatibility mode just on the off-chance that would be enough as a work around to get the game running but it looks like you do need those legacy media features.

Very cool game
Cthulhu Saves the World is an improvement on the Breath of Death VII formula in every aspect, we have updated graphics, better maps world map and towns with the option to fly on the world map and interact in a better way with the townfolk, the dungeons are also better with branching paths, possibility to go under above and even interact with the environment. The items are also vastly superior to the previous game in the sense that some items you receive early on can still be useful late game depending on your play style plus you know have the chance to select which members are part of your party. Boss fights are also more complex with enemies having better mechanics however the regular enemies can still feel boring and uninspired as your party can easily overpower them if played right. All in all this is a nice game but it could have much more depth in the rpg mechanics and combat system as it gets old pretty fast even though the game does not overstay its welcome. PS: Another nice thing is the Bonus modes that unlock after you finish the game,
probably most boring ctulhu game
Cthulhu saves the world is a huge improvement on Breath of Death VII, to the point where I'm shocked it costs the same amount as that game. I am very glad the dev managed to build on so much from the first game, though, as that one was brimming with potential. Cthulhu saves the world has a better story, gameplay, and world. I honestly don't think there's a single thing about the previous game that I preferred. I can definitely see how this is the same team that made Cosmic Star Heroine, which I loved. First of all, the gameplay. Instead of a max of 5 enemies, you can now have around 7 from what I've counted. Along with that, you can now target specific groups of enemies instead of just one or all. They're pretty cool changes, though not what mainly affects the combat. I'd say what I actually noticed about the combat is that you actually have to try to synergize your attacks and elements with your party and enemies! Hooray! I now have to actually think about what I'm going to cast instead of mindlessly attack and heal spamming. Yeah, so combat here is still fun, and now even more fun due to having to actually think about most of it. It's not the greatest combat of all time, it's still kinda simplistic, but hey, I'll take what I can get. I think the best way to get across how much more well-designed it is, is to let you know that this game is about double the length of Breath of Death VII, and doesn't tire me out until the very very end of the game. So overall, I am very happy with the improvements made to the combat system, especially since it keeps the game from being stale now that it lasts so long. The world is also definitely better. There's now more areas to explore, ones which look way better visually and are far more varied than in BoD. Each area also has a story gimmick to keep them all narratively interesting, which I thought was a nice touch. There's also some more optional caves to explore, and they can be really hard. I would definitely only recommend doing the caves
that you can only access by flying
near the end of the game. However, all that's a wash. I could live with either of those aspects being a bit lame. No, what I really like about this game is the story. This game finally has a definite story! Yeah, it's still cheesy and coated in irony and meta-humor, but first of all I like that type of humor, but more importantly, the party members interact! Yep, there's several pseudo-cutscenes where we get to see all the characters, well, be actual characters and interact with each other. And it's fun! I don't wanna spoil anybody you'll meet, but I think they all manage to be quirky without feeling too stupid and funny without being eyeroll-worthy. I enjoy their interactions as well, I think the writing is honestly pretty funny, but it manages to do that whilst not constantly feeling like the whole thing is just one big dumb joke. The star of the cast, of course, is Cthulhu himself, who's constantly at odds with everyone else in the story, including the narrator, which I think is hilarious. I'unno it's just a really fun story to watch unfold, and on top of that I think it's fairly memorable! I think I got everything I wanted to get out of this game, honestly! Don't really have much else to say, this is a big improvement on BoD. If you like simple JRPGs like I do, and enjoy cheesy writing that obviously had some care put into it, I think you'd be about as into this game as I am. Recommended!

Ah, memories of playing this on XBLA, great to revisit today on my steamdeck, super nostalgic. Seems like there's some additional content added too. Shame it doesn't have steam achievements.
