Critical Damage

Critical Damage is an ancient 3D rendered 2D top down twin stick wave survival shooter where you control a little sci-fi tank with an array of weapons and shoot enemies that swarm at you and try kill your base. It's a very shallow, arcadelike experience with little value or merit for gamers when this was launched back in 2010, and even less 12 years down the track. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming. For reference, widescreen gaming became mainstream about 4 years before this launched, so there's simply no excuse. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Critical Damage has an overly optimistic price of around $6 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam, and the unethical nature of the developer.

Достаточно залипательная аркадная игра с элементами tower-defense. Разнообразный апгрейд вооружения и защиты. Графика по нынешним временам устарела(игра 2012 года), но на геймплей это не слишком влияет. Порадовала возможность выбора уровня сложности(некоторые разработчики почему-то ориентируют только на хардкорных игроков).

Экшен с аркадными элементами в жанре научной фантастики, суть игры в том, чтоб осовободить космическую станцию от неменуемой гибели, поглощением некого вируса и монстров. А сопротивляться мы будем с помощью робота, в арсенале которого есть немалое количество огневой мощи. Игра с несколькими уровнями сложности , каждый определит для себя с каким он возглавит оборону. Приятная стилистика и неплохая графика с звуком.

Minha experiência com esse jogo começa quando eu era uma criança e tinha acabado de ganhar meu primeiro pc, ele vinha com alguns jogos instalados e dentre eles o famoso CRITICAL DAMAGE, foi meu primeiro jogo de pc que joguei, passava horas e horas jogando, finalizei muitas vezes hahaha! Falava com amigos para jogarem também, más na época era difícil de saberem que jogo é este. Fiquei muito feliz de ter encontrado este magnífico game que fez parte da minha infância aqui na steam, e fiquei mais feliz ainda por perceber que está igual a versão de quando joguei, gráficos bonitos sem que demande muito de seu pc, uma gameplay tão suave que dá vontade de ficar só andando por aí com seu robô. Espero muito que outras pessoas do Brasil descubram esta obra de arte! P.S: Tive que finalizar novamente só pra fazer esse comentário, e pq gosto do jogo também!

Отличная убивалка времени. Графика в игре лучше чем на скринах в магазине, хорошее музыкальное сопровождение, есть система прокачки. Своих денег стоит
