This game causes problems with my gpu and crashes my pc. Can't fix it.
Crimson Spires is good quality mystery vn. Although romance not so well written to feel more important than mystery. My only issue with it is that the game leaves a lot of room to interpretation and it's sad that we don't get answers
Game is interesting enough and pretty decent storyline overall, but wayyy too laggy. More than any visual novel game should. The loading screen takes way too long, and graphics are kinda wonky. I wish they can streamline some of the clunk

The game has a great atmosphere which reminds me of old mystery shows like Twin Peaks. The backgrounds have a VHS filter and the music has this eerie retro vibe which just creates a great atmosphere. The characters and premise of the game are very interesting and I wanted to know what was going on (although I still don´t really know after finishing 2 routes). I was mostly intrigued by Julian and August who are of course very red flags. I thought the MC Erika, who was very headstrong, was written ok (I only wished she had a different hair color). I first played Julian´s romance, and well... let´s say, there are things about him that are very off-putting even if you like darker romance. Imo the romance comes a bit short and I wondered in both Julian´s and August´s route why Erika would even go for them.
i think its one of the most overlooked VNs out there. Great setting, makes me think a little of S King. Did 2 routes out of 4. Really liked the blondie one, especially the end. Vampire guy is ok. Love how different paths brought parts of the story together.
I am completely engrossed by this story. Crimson Spires has invaded my dreams and inner thoughts and I will have no rest until I finish all the routes and get conclusions to each mystery.
I loved the game so much, the atmosphere with the music, the 3D searching sequences that were incorporated into the gameplay, as well as the voice acting!! Personally, the little romance in the routes wasn't much of a problem for me, since it wasn't the most important part of the story, but I see how it might be a deal breaker for some people. That said, I do have a couple issues.
First of all, Julian's route. In one of the endings the mc has a poly relationship with Julian and Charlotte, who are siblings by the way?? I can't get over that. And the fact that Erika completely disregards her morals after switching to the 'vampire' side politically. Just doesn't seem characteristic of her imo.

Having finished all of the routes, I still have so many questions unanswered about the origin of the towers, the BRS, the strange figure that the mc saw. I understand that a lot of the 'mystery' is most likely intentional, but I'm still left slightly frustrated.
Great character building and plot. I definitely got wrapped up in the mystery and it will eat at my brain for awhile, even though I've finished all the routes. Also, I was really surprised when
I fell for the serial killer - and I would do it again!
. I would definitely recommend this game.
Everything I could've asked for and more. Play the demo if you need convincing but just know that the full game highly exceeds it.
It's got a unique storyline. However, if you're looking to get to the bottom of the "Spires" it never happens. You will never understand exactly why. There are resolutions but not about the world, why it's all really happening now, and the mysterious background of certain groups.
