Reviews
Much the same as the older games, likely not worth the purchase if you're not concerned about up to date stats. Due to licensing, the default doesn't allow for many of the real player names - this can be amended through editing the game files as shown in this video: https://youtu.be/ykn5jal7ZdY?si=CSut5cFKj6S4mxtC
I'm a huge fan of the series. I'm a cricketing bore/purist so stick to the red ball stuff and am finding that this year more so than any other years, top order collapses are much more frequent and absolutely impossible to counter. I don't know if this is a balancing issue or just particular to me. I think winning the toss is unbelievably overpowered and can lead to a extremely frustrating experience, sometimes feeling like you know the result before the match has started. However, as an England fan, that captures the experience perfectly, so nicely done for that. If you've played these games before, you absolutely know what you're getting, but the improvements to the user experience in this year's edition are fantastic. Now back to an inevitable collapse, bye!

While the game remains unchanged since 2013, every year new features are added which make it feel closest to the best Cricket simulation manager available as of 2026!
I've been playing a few hours now and i'm enjoying the game. Very glad there is a logo and emblem editor. The match engine is working very well and the added commmentary is an excellent bonus. Massive range of teams and competitions. Best Cricket SIM around and for my taste when it comes to cricket games. The management sim is the only one that works for me. Also one of the best gaming communites around.
**The Best Cricket Captain Yet** Cricket Captain 2026 is, in my opinion, the best version of the game so far and a great step forward for long-term fans of the franchise. The addition of 45 playable domestic teams across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe is fantastic. It adds far more variety and gives players many more opportunities to get deeply invested in long-term rebuild saves. e. The increased customisation is another major improvement. Being able to add custom kits, team emblems, competition logos, player names, team names and competition names makes the game feel far more realistic and allows you to properly personalise your saves. T20 gameplay also feels considerably better. Scoring rates are more realistic, matches feel better balanced and there seem to be far fewer ridiculous collapses where teams are regularly bowled out for around 50. T20 matches now produce more believable scores while still retaining enough unpredictability to keep them interesting. There are still areas where the series can continue to improve, but Cricket Captain 2026 is a very strong release. For anyone who enjoys cricket management games, long-term saves and rebuilding teams, Cricket Captain 2026 is easy to recommend.
good game, easy to get around licences names
this game has never changed in all the years its been out.
Very fun game, some noticeable improvements from the 2025 edition. Namely a kit editor and better graphics. Makes the game much more immersive and fun if you are able to download the real names and badges for different clubs and countries too. Great game, and would recommend.
if you liked 2025 this one is basically an improved version of it 9.5/10 (also nice to have the domestic systems of all test nations now as well)
This is the first time in a fair few years I've downloaded this, game, and I'm glad that I have. Now I have graphics installed and the name fix sorted. I'm loving this game. Highly recommend.
