Creature Creation Station

This is an in-depth character creator that features many options for customisation, however I do think it lacks some freedom when it comes to the body markings for the characters, as in limited options and sometimes specific body markings are locked in place so you can't move them. However, overall I think its a very good easy to use character creator for people who like a lot of options, and there is a colour select so it isn't just a set list of built in colours which is nice.

REVIEW/NOTE FOR THE DEV/DEVS This is a great game choice mainly for stuff such as trying to recreate characters or just general oc's, though, there are limitations, obviously these limitations are pretty good. They're not overly limiting and allow you to do a lot of things. Though there are a few updates that could help with character customization without having to add anything new, being able to move body patterns like you can face patterns, adding the ability to rotate and move around one horn instead of it just being stuck in the middle, and maybe, instead of just two patterns on each limb, we have three like we get for the face, so we can achieve more refined results, I feel like what I have said here would be the easier things to implement, obviously I'm not expecting anything out of this review, these are mainly just what I would add personally if I was the dev, mainly from using the character creator trying to recreate Catty from undertale. The point is if you're on the fence whether or not to buy this game the simple fact is what do you enjoy, are you wanting something with more gameplay, or do you just wind a character customizer that allows you to create a wide variety of characters, whether original or not, i'd personally say the price is worth it. But hey, things like that are relative, i'm having fun with it and realistically. I don't think there's a way I could explain exactly How the gameplay is?It's one of those games you just have to experience yourself and see if you like it, before what it's trying to be, I give it a 10/10

I love it. Creature Creation Station lets you make little creatures in a style that feels very Wii U Mii-adjacent, and then you get to watch all your strange little guys interact with each other. The graphics are simple, but cute, and the creature creator is easy to use while still giving you a surprising amount of control over the details. I also really like that you can import and export any of your creatures, which makes it even easier to build up your tiny army of weird little beings. It’s not complicated. You make creatures, watch them exist, and slowly build up a collection of little guys. If you want a simple, cute creature-making game where you can create absolute nonsense and watch your army grow, this is perfect. Absolutely recommended.

such a detailed, cute, easy to use and fun character creator! so many sliders... so much potential for creatures...

A character creator so fun and whimsical I bought it twice to support the dev, once on itch.io and once here! Itch even gives you a steam key so I gave that to a friend to spread the whimsy. It's criminally underrated and I really really hope it gets all the attention it deserves someday. It's like mii maker except better, you can even throw your creatures around like ragdolls and who doesn't want to throw their beloved characters around?? I have a few wishes and very minor qol gripes (notably more options for asymmetry like mismatched eye colours, a way to quickly centre sliders and a more consistent custom colour picker) but it's already extremely flexible and well worth your money if you enjoy this kind of thing. The demo alone is already excellent and it only gets 10x better in the full game. Please consider picking it up if you can, the dev deserves it!!
