A poignant narrative-driven game about rejection, belonging and the meaning of home. It follows the story of a newly adopted shelter cat whose space in the home is taken by a copycat. Bring the tissues.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 8.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
⚠️ Copycat touches on sensitive topics such as family trauma, abandonment, and other emotional complexities. If you are going through difficult times, remember that you are not alone. Seek support from friends, family, or a professional. Take care of yourself and play at your own pace.
Copycat is a narrative-driven indie game about a pet who learns to deal with abandonment, and a human forced to surrender. Together, two souls go on a journey to discover the meaning of family and home. The game's colourful visuals delight the senses while exploring dark thematic depths. Journey on an emotional rollercoaster that pulls at the heartstrings and reminds you how it feels to be left behind. 🐾
We follow the tale of Dawn, a sceptical shelter cat who would much rather be in the wild than be readopted again. Dawn actually believes she is a wild cat. And plans on escaping as soon as she gets the chance.
Dawn has second thoughts when she meets new owner Olive, a lonely older Aussie mourning the disappearance of her beloved furry companion. Together Dawn and Olive develop an intimate friendship, as two broken hearts mend one another and learn to beat as one. ❤️
Everything changes when Olive falls ill, and a stray copycat steals Dawn’s place in the home—forcing Dawn onto the streets.
Wander alleyways, fences and rooftops as you learn about the true meaning of home. The reflective pacing of the game allows you the opportunity to indulge in the emotions of love, loneliness and letting go as you progress throughout the story.
Copycat is fully voice acted, featuring hours of dialogue and a talented voice cast. Original music score by Daniel Bunting.

Mega super gierka, tylko troszkę krótka >:3
Settle in with a cozy blanket and keep your furry friend close by for this one. I started playing this because my orchestra is playing some of the gorgeous soundtrack, and I regret nothing. An emotional narrative interspersed with fun gameplay did make me feel like a cat! What's that, a deep meaningful moment? Let me shred your couch. Looking forward to playing more from Spoonful of Sugar in the future, both music and games.
GREAT GAME! But be warned, you might bawl your eyes out.
A nice little story about a cat who learns to love again before being betrayed again. I liked the narration, the way the mentality of our character evolves, even if I think it changed too fast around the end (I won't say anything to avoid spoilers!). I saw that players were a bit surprised by Dawn's final choice, but I personally interpreted the morality in a different way, from the point of view of the animal we're playing (as much as I can, I mean :D). Controls are a bit rough and camera sometimes stutters, but I enjoyed walking around and discover little details here and there. Also loved the lights! Good luck for your next project!
Lovely game. Not complicated, and much like Stray, you play for the story. If you are a cat lover like me, recommended.
