Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 15 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I felt like Dread Weight didn't match the original game in terms of atmosphere; the suffocating, hopeless feeling of Cooking Companions wasn't as strong here. Nevertheless, it's definitely a worthy sequel - the story is fun, the inventory system makes the gameplay more complex than that of the first game, the scares are effective and the characters are all very cool. Especially Kurt. I would die for Kurt.
It's a really good game. I enjoyed the story, the gameplay is good, and the art is amazing! I would say the story goes by very fast, but that isn't really a problem. Overall great game that I and one of my friends really enjoyed on call. The puzzles are easy if you have the stuff, and it's very replayable.
A great follow-up to Cooking Companions! It wraps up the story very nicely, with enough details to provide enough information to give context, but not to the point where it spoon-feeds you everything. Though I'm not the biggest fan of having to loop through the game several times to complete the character relationships. I'm dreading the weight that players will get upon playing this game! Rating: 8/10

Picking up for round 2 right after Cooking Companions - Dread Weight is another experience off the menu with a different palette taste. More focused on story choice and the dread of inventory management it is definitely a different feel from its predecessor while standing strong on its own two legs. The cast of characters here are so vastly different in each other’s strengths and storylines it allows every run through to explore more. 10/10!
Super fun visual novel with lots of twists. Wasn't what I would call a "horror" game as much as a thriller mystery. Finding all the different endings are super fun and people you don't expect to trust end up being helpful. Highly recommend.
Very cozy, nice soundtrack, cute talking animals and people are dying, pretty ^^
Outside of an oopsie while playing the game, I have really enjoyed this and Cooking Companions. I hope to see more of this series! I look forward to seeing more from Deer Dream Studios!
Loved the first game, loved Dread Weight, but I don't understand anything of what's happening. lol I just know that it's very compelling, so compelling that I don't understand the story.
Great sequel to Cooking Companions
Phenomenal game, barely scary unless you get scared by everything and cant catch hints, the lore is insane and when you replay it you instantly get every minor detail that was shown, I love this genre of games.
