If you played The Incredible Machine as a child, this is worth it for the nostalgia alone.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recommended ⚙️🧩 Contraption Maker brings back the magic of building ridiculously complicated machines to solve surprisingly simple problems. Every puzzle feels like an invitation to experiment. Gears, ropes, balloons, lasers, cats, conveyor belts, cannons, and dozens of other gadgets can be combined in almost endless ways. Finding a solution is satisfying—but building an absurdly overengineered one is even better. 😂⚙️ The physics sandbox is the real star. There are often multiple ways to complete each challenge, rewarding creativity instead of forcing a single correct answer. Watching your bizarre invention somehow work perfectly never gets old. 🛠️✨ The Steam Workshop greatly extends the game's life, with thousands of community-made puzzles and contraptions to build and solve. If you enjoy engineering, logic games, or sandbox creativity, there's always another challenge waiting. 🌍🔧 Some puzzles become quite difficult, and the interface can take a little time to learn. But once you're comfortable with the tools, it's incredibly rewarding to watch your crazy inventions come to life. 🚀 I needed one gear to solve the puzzle... so naturally I built a machine with 47 moving parts instead. 10/10 engineering. 🤣⚙️ If it looks unnecessarily complicated but somehow works... you're playing it correctly. 😄 Contraption Maker lets players solve puzzles by building inventive machines using physics objects, mechanical parts, and gadgets, with support for custom levels and Steam Workshop creations.
I wanted to like this. I completed many puzzles and see the potential. But the poor design choices ultimately turned me off. From the art to the UI, this needs a lot of polish that it's not going to get. Another review sums up my problem with this game better than I can: https://steamcommunity.com/app/241240/reviews/?browsefilter=toprated&snr=1_5_100010_ >Of the 250 odd official levels, not many puzzles actually hit the sweet spot where they are sufficiently challenging but not frustratingly obscure.
