Ratings 1-10, 1 being sheet and 10 being amazing: Graphics: 8/10 (Game already starts in great resolution, but gets extremely laggy whenever the camera is equipped. Atmosphere/Scariness: 11/10 (Perfect. Absolutely perfect. I love getting jumpscared by a freaky shadow man screaming 'HELP ME' at 3 in the morning.) Difficulty: 9/10 (It's the perfect difficulty, we just don't get a tutorial at the start. Easy to get the hang of, though. Fanbase toxicity: 8/10 (There really aren't toxic fans, but those who dislike the game have some very colourful things to say about it that aren't that true or have been fixed.) Need for updates: 4/10 (It's a finished game, there isn't really a need for updates.) Overall: 8/10

This is the best ghost hunting game I've ever played, and it's absolutely wonderful. I am honestly shocked this game doesn't get a ton more attention, especially from Streamers, because it's fantastic. It's slow-paced because it really mimics what I imagine this would be like, and while there are a few irritating UI aspects (having to go back to the office to redo your notes, the tool belt limiting what you can carry, the looooong playback for EVPs) it doesn't even matter that much because of how unique this game is. There's nothing that chases you, it's pure investigation and putting together the evidence before finding the ghost's "tether" and releasing it. Which, can I just say, is one of the parts I love the most? There's an empathy here that is lovely to experience, and while the ghosts themselves aren't "scary", per se, they're certainly creepy in a way that completely works for me. If you like investigation games and are yearning for one that is about ghost hunting and not running/hiding/piecing together parts of your subconscious that reveal you're a family annihilator (seriously why is that every plot??), this is the game for you. I actually love how sometimes you literally have to camp out in a room and just...wait for a ghost to get that last piece of evidence. I like that you can jump around the map, and despite a few gameplay frustrations, this is nearly perfect. I'm so charmed by everything, from the slightly uncanny atmosphere of each location, to the voice acting, to the stories and details that are in each case. There's a sort of loneliness to the game as you're the only "character", but it really works and makes for a haunting game, no pun intended. I really hope more people find this gem and it gets more attention, and I can't wait to check out the other games by this dev. Thanks for making a game that investigation-types can sink into, and the added bonus of compassion and empathy for these spirits is somehow the cherry on top of a great, immersive, thoroughly enjoyable game. A hidden gem to be sure, I can't recommend it enough!
I love this game. Perfect jump scares. The controls are not difficult. I have beaten the game and I am really upset about it. I would love for more content in this game! New demons, ghosts, and places to investigate. There are places listed on the map that we cannot go to. Would really like to be able to explore those places.
I've played this game for years and for some reason forgot to leave a review. I think CSPPI is still my favorite ghost hunting game I've ever played. Even after playing most of the other major ones. I bought the game right after watching Insym's first video on it, due to how captivated I was by the mechanics of the ghosts and how the investigation process was so spot on with real life. Then Kip added new locations, new ghosts, frequent bug fixes as needed, extra lore, exercising evil demons, and releasing spirits peacefully all within a reasonable amount of time compared to how slow some Triple A companies can take forever to add new content and fix bugs. Thank you for listening to your players and shaping CSPPI into one of the greatest games I've ever played in 35+ years of gaming. P.S. I can't wait until Daughter of Voodoo releases!
lack of content, not mush to do half the time. nothing better to hunt ghosts with other than just the low quality items you get
Its not a bad game for a solo play through of a paranormal game. Honestly i do enjoy the story of the game. there are a few issues such as the thermometer and the emf readers scan region being a bit to small sometimes. but over all its a good game.
Bored shirtless, waste of money
This game was hard to get familiar with at first but after getting used to the mechanics I had an absolute blast finishing the entire game. If you want a slower paced single-player Phasmophobia with in-depth story and personality to the ghosts and the places you are visiting then it's definitely worth the price. My only gripe is that although the map shows many locations, you only go to a select few. I know the developer said that the game was finished but I would absolutely pay money for dlc locations. I feel like his second game doesn't capture the same experience that this one did when it comes to unique ghosts and it bummed me out not being able to enjoy it. Regardless, excellent game, $10 for ~30 hours is a steal.
CSPPI feels better with the sense of "Dread" and "Anxiety" the game puts you through, sure there are jumpscares but I feel like it lessens the scare aspect of the game, especially if it is meant to be a longer burn. Especially after constantly running through those jumpscares makes you really desensitized towards them. It's a good buy though, CSPPI is most likely the most realistic ghost hunting game out there. If your looking for a more "realistic" Phasmophobia (because nowadays Phasmophobia has gotten more or less competitive) this is a great game. Though it does have a story, and quite short though worth the experience.
