Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

FANTASTIC game! Just brilliant! (I also have had the whole Combat Mission WWII series work with zero problems on a brand new gaming pc--so I have no idea why anyone else is having tech issues.) Anyhow, I played the original CM series (Barbarossa to Berlin and Beyond Overlord) quite a bit some 15-20 years ago. This series has far surpassed it in terms of realism and especially unit control and combat feedback. These games work by far the best in the hybrid turn based system rather than real time. Every 60 seconds, orders from each side are carried out in live time. But then there is a "turn" pause after each 60 seconds of battle to issue orders all over again, and then watch the next 60 seconds of battle and so on. The combat is very realistic, with line of sight being essential for taking out the enemy. Armor combat is extremely fun to watch, and it is based on real cannon and armor penetration capability. Lots of one-shot tank/armored vehicle kills if you or the enemy are not careful! I had a Jagdpanther kill 5 lend-lease Shermans in 5 shots! They were not careful. Sadly, while targeting a 6th Sherman at 3 oclock, a 7th Sherman flanked from 10 oclock and blew up my Jagd in one shot! The realism is great. I was able to hunt down 2 remaining Shermans with infantry that carried various panzerfaust weapons. Red Thunder is easily my favorite in the CM series and I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it for any and all WWII buffs, or anyone that appreciates real tactical combat command. The other entries in the WWII CM series are also great, but I prefer Red Thunder over the others because I find the late war Eastern Front a blast! I have played a few of the game's stock scenarios, which are cool! But the most fun, IMO, is generating a random battle with selected parameters, and then "buying" whatever units you want for your own army. This has been the best part of the game because it allows a quick way to experiment with various units and weapons at will.

A very detailed war strategy game that will keep you entertained for a long time. This game has many improvements over the original Combat Mission games. No arcade type gaming here. You have to actually think out your plan of attack to be victorious in battle. I highly recommend this game if you like immersive game play.
Old but gold! Still one of the best game ever made with realism in mind! I have not played any games since that can match the realism and immersion as CMRT or the combat mission franchise as a whole. They are working on CM3 already as the engine has it limitations! Keep an eye out for that. Fantastic community and has a lot of fantastic mods. Go check a few good men forum. Worth it for anyone who loves ww2 realism and immersion. Make sure to double check which graphic card you are running the game on, as the game automatically runs in the integrated card, if you have a laptop or have two graphic cards.
22-30 fps with my RTX 4070ti :) Looks bad, tutorial doesn't even trying to show or explain anything.
This game is trash and functions more like malware than anything else. -10/10 would pay to avoid. Forced to suffer through it by my school.
Good, well executed tactical game covering the Russian front from high summer 44 to autumn 44.
Great game. Highly recommended.
THis game is very realistic in that the soldiers act like they would in real life.
Nie wierzę jak trudna jest to gra. Tylko dla prawdziwych taktyków... albo masochistów.
I've been playing Combat Mission series for more than 10 years, and I know there's a great game in there somewhere. There really is. But I just can't post a positive review while the games are left to fester in such a rough state. Mostly about the performance on modern computers, but also hundreds of little bugs/issues that are never fixed despite being reported by the community for years. This includes the new PBEM++ system, which is very cumbersome to use.
