CM Cold War is set in the tipping-point years of a conflict that gripped the world for 45 years. Between 1979-1982, both the NATO and Soviet Warsaw Pact militaries began the shift away from industrialized warfare of the early 20th century and towards the modern digital battlefield of today.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Argh, das Spiel läuft leider sehr laggy ab und die Steuerung der Truppen finde ich katastrophal. Es hätte sicher Potential, braucht aber noch extrem viel Entwicklung bis zur Serienreife.

I'm just going to say it quick. None of these games are worth 60 dollars. Not to mention how absurd DLC prices are. I would recommend getting these games, but please use a secondary site to buy steam keys. I got every main game for each of them costing less than 10 dollars. Some less than 5. For that price, these games are very good, but do not spend full price for any of these games. If you don't know where to get this game for a fair price. I use Eneba.
Combat Mission: Cold War – A Tactical Masterpiece for Realists Combat Mission: Cold War is a dream come true for anyone fascinated by the hypothetical clash between NATO and the Warsaw Pact during the tense decades of the 1970s and 1980s. Built on Battlefront’s legendary Combat Mission engine, this title combines authenticity, depth, and tension in a way few modern strategy games can match. From the first mission, the game immerses you in the gritty realities of Cold War-era combat. Every tank duel, every infantry maneuver, and every air support call feels earned — not scripted. You can practically feel the pressure as you line up an M60 Patton against a T-72 in the fog of war. The simulation detail is astonishing: ballistics, armor penetration, morale, communication — all meticulously modeled to reflect real-world doctrine and battlefield chaos. What really sets Cold War apart is its flexibility. You can fight small skirmishes or command full battalions, craft your own scenarios, or explore the built-in campaigns that capture “what if” moments from the Fulda Gap to the inner German border. Each scenario feels like a living tactical puzzle where terrain, timing, and discipline matter more than brute force. While the visuals are functional rather than flashy, the gameplay more than compensates. There’s a raw, almost documentary-style realism to the battles — no cinematic fluff, just pure, intense warfare. The sound design, from distant artillery to the crack of small arms fire, adds a layer of immersion that makes every engagement feel authentic. For players who appreciate thoughtful, methodical tactics and deep military realism, Combat Mission: Cold War stands as one of the best strategy experiences available. It rewards patience, planning, and historical curiosity, offering hundreds of hours of replay value. Verdict: A deeply satisfying, immersive Cold War tactical experience that rewards brains over reflexes. A must-have for serious wargamers and history buffs alike. ⭐ Score: 9/10 – A classic reborn for those who value realism and tactical mastery.
Disclaimer: Im an old fanboy. Graphics dated but the Mil. detail for hits and dam. as well as the ability to make scenerios and terrain maps in a still not matched in any other mil sim of this type IMHO.

Después de CMBN y CMBS, he comprado este juego y me ha gustado más que Black Sea. La serie Combat Mission sigue siendo uno de los mejores videojuegos tácticos que existen, incluso con los gráficos antiguos que tienen.
excellent
Det er mere simulation end spil. Vil man underholdes, skal man vælge noget andet.
