Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Codex Mortis is an isometric horde-survivor bullet hell whose roguelite loop runs on a spell deckbuilder. You play a necromancer. Before every mission you assemble a deck from the spells you own, then carry it into a battlefield filled with the undead, alone or with a friend in a local co-op. You spend the points you earn during a run on booster packs, each pack adds new spells to your collection, and those spells open builds you could not have assembled before.
Plan before you slaughter, because once the mission starts you fight with what you brought. Before every mission you assemble your loadout from the spells you own, and that loadout is your deck. A deck weighted toward Summoning wins the field by crowding it, with skeletons soaking the horde while you cast. A deck weighted toward Blood Magic hits harder and sacrifices your life to do it.
The points you earn on a run buy booster packs, and every pack adds spells to your collection, so your next deck comes out of a wider pool.
Mutations sit on top of the skills you carry and change the way they work. A mutation riding your bone spear sends it out in a pattern you have to learn again, and one on a summon calls up another archetype of undead. Others reshape the ground an area spell covers or give an aura a character of its own, so a spell you have cast a hundred times comes out of your hands changed.
Every spell in your collection belongs to one of the five schools of dark magic.
Necromancy: bone spears, corpse explosions and skeletal prisons.
Summoning: raise undead armies and bone golems.
Blood Magic: sacrifice life for power.
Soul Magic: harvest essence, phase through enemies.
Curses: break enemy will, spread terror and confusion.

**Klare Empfehlung.**

Very fun, got totally sucked in and played nonstop for 3.6hours. I don´t get why people hate Ai. All inovations steals job. How come everyone reacts so heavily to this. if you can create good games with Ai I´m all for it. + Good music + 1-4 co-op palyers Adopt or die, Be a mammal or become a dinosaur. Ai is a tool so far so why not use it while we still are in control of it. In 2 years we probably don´t have a thing to say about it anyway hehe. My hope is that Ai in games are focused on dialogue and open rpgs with endless possibilites to aproach on goals. Anyhow. Quite fun game and I strongly recommend to try it out. Graphics are quite okey and it´s not worse than some other indiegames in anyway. Posted 19 December, 2025. Last edited 19 December, 2025.
Trash AI game
I had MUCH more fun than I had anticipated. As someone who plays this genre almost exclusiveley, I can easily say this is among the best and on my top 3 now. Fantastic job, great game!
Got a key from the dev, however no mention of genAI was made and I had to find out by searching through press kit documents. Incredibly disappointed that this game and this dev are so AI positive.
The gameplay and art style is nice. The menus and later levels need some work. Has a ton of potential. GL
The demo that I thought was abandoned has been turned into a full fledged game, new skills, animations, logical character progression, interesting concepts for new maps (though twice I did not really know what killed me). All in all even more fun now and given the very symbolic price, one of the few non-free games that I decided to play. :D The AI controls enemy and character progression, it's not literally simply made by AI all alone, the game devs really cooked here. Is it perfect? Probably not, some of the new skills don't feel as powerful as the old ones is a thing to polish but overall a proper gaming experience made possible by a tiny studio that surprised me with their passion for this project, so a definite recommend
