Finally My 8 year old Fnaf Fangame Idea can be a reality

alright i have the time so might as well right a review so first the pros: easy to learn powerful engine cool unique and creative extensions and MANY MANY more cons: expensive the dlcs exist like the only reason i want to get the + dlc is because of the better fullscreen and thats it saving system sucks so the only way to make your aplication save is by using the ini object which can be easily edited in the %appdata% folder on your pc which makes it very easy for people to cheat and no the ini+++ object doesnt help clickteam really should add a cloud save feature and thats it so in summary besides being know as THE ENGINE THAT FNAF WAS MADE IN overall if you are a beginner this is a pretty good app its also good for making fnaf fangames and i still use it to this day so yea pretty good

These days there are infinitely better engines than CTF. So I wouldn't recommend it to new people. Game Maker is drag and drop (which directly translates into GML) and is more versatile and optimisable than anything you can do in CTF and more importantly it's free for use in browsers and in windows applications. Edit: Game Maker is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ free entirely for noncommercial use as of 22nd of november 2023. Just seriously use game maker. Construct 3 is simple like CTF but is more alike to an actual programming language so you can more easily adapt for when you go onto script based languages in future. And there are definitely loads of examples you can look at and find. If you already have it, that's fine, but I think it's better to move on to other engines than this one since it's overpriced, outdated and on it's last last last legs and the only people who really use it are just making fnaf clones as it always been since 2015. It's very easy to understand and learn but generally leads to poor habits down the line, at least I find from my personal experience. You're more than likely working around the engine than with it which is more often than not infuriating. Not to say that game engines don't have their quirks I just think that CTF is too verbose in areas where it's not needed and too simple in areas that really could use more control and specificity, So it really doesn't mesh with me anymore. If you find it does mesh with you better, that's great, but doesn't change the fact it's still an engine from years gone by that isn't even a 64bit application whilst it's competitors have been 64bit for almost a decade at this point. With exhaustive limitations that is more than a detriment than anything imo. If you want something easy and simple it's here but I'd recommend looking else where since there's way more options these days that have much more pros than CTF has these days. CTF just simply has been stuck stagnant in 10 years with band aids put on it every 3 years.

Save your money – this product isn't worth its price, not even with a discount. The add-on DLC, which feels like it should have been included in the original package, requires an additional $50. These extras might improve the experience slightly, but it's frustrating that you have to pay extra for features that could have enhanced the product from the start. Moreover, the charging system for the extra speed boost is inconvenient and adds to the overall slowness and tedium of the experience. There are plenty of superior engines available at a lower cost. This product seems outdated, lacking in updates, and possibly obsolete. Requesting a refund immediately.
