Slow but satisfying progression. It's taken me about 3h of tentatively dipping into the novice dungeon to be able to reliably explore there, but every level up feels impactful and every new piece of gear makes a big difference. A monster dropped a +7 sling, and now my thief is tearing up enemies from the back row.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has absolutely ZERO challenge. 0. None. I'm a HUGE fan of JRPG's and dungeon crawlers. The Wizardry series, Etrian Odyssey, Saviors of Sapphire Wings, stuff like that. This game will vaguely resemble the other games, but offer none of the challenge. Enemies are completely unmemorable. There's no point to number crunching and min maxing since you can just auto-battle your way through every fight. Heck, even my WIZARDS and PSIONS stand in the front of the party! That's how bad the combat challenges are designed! 20 hours into the game and I'm ready to set the game down as a $7 loss and never pick it up again since I bought it on a sale.
yup
Class of Heroes: Anniversary Edition, developed by Zerodiv and published by PQube and ACQUIRE Corp., is a deliberate return to a style of role-playing game design that modern releases rarely attempt to replicate without compromise. It is unapologetically rooted in classic dungeon crawler traditions, presenting an experience that values careful planning, patience, and long-term commitment over accessibility or immediate reward. From the moment you begin assembling your party, it becomes clear that the game expects players to adapt to its systems rather than the other way around. The core gameplay revolves around building and managing a party of adventurers drawn from a variety of races and classes, each with distinct strengths and limitations. This initial setup is more than a formality, as early decisions have a lasting impact on how effectively your group performs in the long run. Balancing offense, defense, and support roles becomes essential, especially as the difficulty ramps up. The game offers a level of customization that feels both rewarding and intimidating, particularly for players unfamiliar with this style of RPG, where optimization is often the difference between steady progress and repeated failure. Exploration takes place within sprawling, grid-based dungeons that emphasize methodical movement and constant awareness. Every step carries risk, whether it comes from hidden traps, unexpected enemy encounters, or the simple danger of venturing too far without adequate preparation. The design encourages players to map out their surroundings, manage resources carefully, and know when to retreat. This creates a constant sense of tension, as even minor mistakes can lead to significant setbacks. Progress feels earned, but it often comes at the cost of repetition and cautious play. Combat operates within a turn-based system that prioritizes positioning and resource management. Party members are arranged in formations that determine their effectiveness in battle, requiring players to think strategically about who takes damage and who provides support. While the mechanics themselves are straightforward, the frequency of encounters can make battles feel routine over time. Advancement often depends on grinding through these encounters to strengthen your party, which reinforces the game’s slow and deliberate pacing but may test the patience of those looking for more varied or dynamic combat. The academy setting serves as a central hub where players prepare for their next expedition, offering a place to manage equipment, recruit new members, and recover from the dangers of the dungeon. This structure provides a sense of continuity and progression, even as the gameplay itself remains focused on repeated excursions into hazardous environments. While the narrative elements are minimal, the setting adds a light thematic layer that frames the player’s journey without becoming a dominant focus. Visually, the game maintains a style that reflects its origins, with simple environments and character designs that prioritize clarity over detail. While this approach may appear dated compared to modern standards, it supports the gameplay by ensuring that important elements remain easy to identify. The interface, though improved in some respects, can still feel cumbersome, particularly when navigating menus or managing inventory, which can occasionally interrupt the flow of the experience. Audio design follows a similar philosophy, providing functional background music and sound effects that complement the atmosphere without drawing attention to themselves. The soundtrack supports the sense of exploration and tension but does not stand out as a defining feature. Instead, it serves as a subtle accompaniment to the game’s more prominent mechanics. One of the most defining characteristics of Class of Heroes: Anniversary Edition is its uncompromising difficulty. The game offers little in the way of safety nets, and mistakes can have lasting consequences. Losing progress or even party members is a real possibility, which heightens the stakes of every decision. This design will appeal to players who enjoy challenging, system-driven experiences, but it may feel punishing or outdated to those accustomed to more forgiving mechanics. Despite these challenges, the game manages to deliver a sense of satisfaction that comes from overcoming its demands. It rewards persistence and careful planning, offering a progression system that feels meaningful even when it requires significant time investment. However, its reliance on repetition, limited narrative, and lack of modern conveniences may limit its appeal to a broader audience. In the end, Class of Heroes: Anniversary Edition is a faithful representation of classic dungeon crawling, offering depth and challenge for those willing to engage with its systems. It does not attempt to modernize or simplify its design, instead embracing the strengths and flaws of its origins. For players who appreciate methodical gameplay and are willing to invest the time needed to master its mechanics, it provides a rewarding, if demanding, experience. Rating: 7/10

It's nice to know that after 12 hours of gameplay on easy mode, I can still get one-shotted by regular mobs... Also, the in-game weapon/gear ''Campus Store'' that never renews its stock is just whack. I understand that it forces you to make your own equipment via Alchemist, but that solution is almost as expensive as getting it from the Store.... maybe I'm just a bad gamer, idk. No hate though, if you enjoy this game, good on you. Cheers!
