CielChan is an evolving ambient AI companion designed to stay on your desktop while you go about your day. When enabled, she can listen to configured system audio, periodically observe your screen, and make contextual comments while you work, relax, study, browse, or play, bringing a sense of presence to your desktop.
Simply let her stay nearby and react in her own time, or interact whenever you feel like it. She starts mostly blank, and her local memory can retrieve selected relevant details so she becomes more familiar over time, though she does not retain everything perfectly. Chat, games, rooms, reading, and other activities are there when you want more.
CielChan can run fully offline on your PC. The included local model is designed for privacy, offline use, and accessibility across a wide range of PCs. For stronger reasoning, faster replies, and higher-quality conversation, advanced users can connect optional cloud AI and voice providers or configure larger compatible local models.

Conversations and voice data for local features stay on your machine
Optional online features include cloud AI providers, ElevenLabs and other cloud voice services, live-chat and stream integrations, browser and presence integrations, Steam multiplayer, Steam Workshop, and other third-party services. These features may require separate accounts, API keys, configuration, or payments. When enabled, they may send relevant text, audio, images, chat, presence, or account-related data to the selected service according to its policies. Availability depends on third-party platforms and may be interrupted or changed when those platforms update their services.
Offline Core Included
