Chorus of Carcosa is a psychological horror game inspired by the classic horror fiction of 'The King in Yellow' collection by R. W. Chambers. You play as a sculptor who is forced to abandon his place of comfort one night, when a blood-soaked neighbor knocks on his door.

Honestly, I tried to like the game but failed. I am a big fan of Lovecraft and especially lore around Hastur. However, this game is short, raw, unpolished, glitchy and extremely dull. There could have been more psychologically heavy storytelling, revolving around the combination of theatre, writing, and fine arts. Sculpture part is short and underdeveloped. Composer's part is boring and unconvincing - where is the music? Where is her inspiration? Where is at least melody that should not be listened? Etc. Thus, it is a rare case I leave a dislike.

There was a lot of love poured into this game, you can see it in all the little details of the maps. There's a lot of care in the details of the maps, and the gradual horror and madness was great. A great example of a descent into madness through each character, and a King in Yellow story that exemplifies the horrors around the arts? I found the protagonist a *touch* slow in walking speed. I nearly put the game down getting the package, but if you have any love for the themes of the King In Yellow, it's definitely worth playing :)
