Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Character Limit is a fast-paced word puzzle game that blends arcade speed and time pressure with wordplay.
12 Letters. No Mercy.
Letters keep dropping. Time keeps ticking.
Quick thinking and quick typing are the only things standing between you and total linguistic collapse.
You’ve got twelve spaces - your Character Limit - and a never-ending supply of letters waiting to overwhelm you.
Form words to clear space, score points, and survive as long as possible in this fast-paced, arcade-style typing puzzle.
It’s simple… until it’s not.
That’s the golden rule.
Once every slot is full and the countdown ends, the game’s over, and it always sneaks up faster than you think.
Every round is a battle against your own hesitation. Shorter words make space but score poorly. Longer words score higher, especially if you use a hard letter.
Do you gamble on a long word for a huge score, or play safe before the next letter drops?
There’s no right answer. Only speed, instinct, and a growing sense that maybe you don’t know English as well as you thought.
12 Letters. No Mercy. A constant stream of tiles testing your reflexes, focus, and vocabulary.
Multiple Game Modes: Endless, Empty the Bag, and extra challenges. Each a unique time-attack survival puzzle with its own flavour of stress.
Daily Challenge: One round for everyone, one chance to be the best in the world.
Power-Ups: Clear vowels, shift the rack, or throw in a wildcard to save yourself.
Clean and Tactile: No clutter, no filler. Just crisp visuals, punchy feedback, and satisfying flow.
Built for Keyboard, Mouse, or Touchscreen: Type, click, or if you’re fancy, touch your way to survival.
Welsh Language Mode: Because developing an English language word game was too easy…

Character Limit is our love letter to wordplay and pressure. Equal parts vocabulary test, arcade reflex game, minimalist design experiment, and mild panic attack.
If you love typing challenges, fast-paced arcade puzzle games, or word games with bite, this one’s for you.
Just remember: Don’t. Fill. The. Rack.
Reviews
Have you ever wanted to know how it feels to play Scrabble at gunpoint? A daily challenge mode is a very welcome feature, since this really is the kind of game that does Exactly One Thing, so it's perfect for booting up for a daily bite-sized session like Wordle. 8 USD feels a little steep for a puzzle game that would feel more at home on a phone, but the 30% discount I caught felt reasonable. (I promise I have more playtime than that, I was going crazy during the Next Fest demo)
It's a nice letter-based game! I like the various alternate and challenge game modes it has as well. Note that you can use either your mouse or your keyboard to submit letters - much easier via the keyboard
