I love this kind of horror in a game. Especially with a body camera it makes it more realistic.

Chaperone does well with using the atmosphere to make it a psychological horror. I went into this not knowing hardly anything about the game, just that it was a decent play and not super long. I didn't expect to but honestly, I really enjoyed Chaperone. The little details around the home make it seem a little too eerily realistic. The crawling corpse in a sheet? terrifying. Now I will say... the game was a bit laggy in a few spots, but other than it was a solid play through. From a streaming standpoint, the game was about 2 hours and that was with me engaging with chats every comment. I think it was enjoyable on their end because they were able to chip in with figuring out the little puzzles throughout to proceed to the next objective. The handful of jumpscares got them about as much as they got me. The game isn't heavy on jumpscares by any means, but sometimes that's a great thing in my opinion. Too many games now are quick to just spam repeat scares that stop hitting once you reach that 50% mark and I want something that's going to keep me on edge the entire way through. Chaperone did that for me! It's not a game I would write home about necessarily but it's fun, quick and genuinely creepy.

Chaperone was probably one of the scarier horror games I’ve played in a long time. Not because it was loud or flashy—but because the atmosphere was relentlessly creepy. From the moment you step in, everything feels wrong. Things move. Sounds happen when they shouldn’t. The whole experience is soaked in this heavy, foreboding tension that never really lets up. The premise is simple but incredibly effective. A woman has been killed, and you play as a police officer sent to investigate. While you’re there, you’re tasked with staying in the house overnight with the body—because in some religions, the body must not be left alone before burial. And yeah… that’s where things start to unravel. As the night goes on, you slowly piece together the woman’s story, and it’s unsettling in a quiet, creeping way. The game doesn’t rely on over-the-top horror or constant jumpscares. In fact, the jumpscares are used sparingly—and that makes them hit so much harder when they do happen. This is one of those games that understands restraint. It trusts its atmosphere, its story, and its pacing—and because of that, it works incredibly well. It’s short, sweet, and absolutely effective. If you’re looking for a horror game that’s deeply unsettling without being obnoxious, Chaperone is an easy recommendation. No gimmicks, no excess—just a really solid, genuinely scary experience that sticks with you. 👀

Uwielbiam symulatory chodzenia i horrory ale niestety ta gra zupełnie mnie nie przekonała. I nie chodzi tu nawet o to, że jest strasznie krótka i mega męczący jest widok "rybie oko". Gra jest po prostu płytka, bez wyrazu, historia jest zupełnie nieangażująca i ja osobiście nie przeżyłam chwil grozy a na to liczyłam. Tłumaczenie pozostawia wiele do życzenia - błąd za błędem. Dodatkowo nie wiem czy gra ma bugi czy tak została skonstruowana ale część przedmiotów lub pomieszczeń uaktywnia się dopiero po kilkukrotnej wędrówce dookoła domu co jest strasznie frustrujące bo człowiek czuje, że szuka wiatru w polu. Kupiłam grę na wyprzedaży ale uważam, że nie była warta nawet tego. Stracony czas i pieniądze. Jednym słowem odradzam gdyż nie widzę ani jednej zalety tej gry.
