Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 8 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

At the time of writing this review, the game is pretty underwhelming. I can get more chess rulesets AND endless cute cats in VRC public lobbies with elo, chat, etc. I was hoping this game would have had a little more in it that was going to help make it stand on it's own four paws, but it really is just exclusively your standard version of chess with animated cat pieces. A real bummer! The trailer/cinematic is truly the best part.
Theres no concede button.

This is a fun little cat themed chess back for 7$! The animations are cute, and the sound design is good; the classical music is enjoyable as well. I do appreciate the ability to fast forward through animations. I do wish there was maybe a button you could press to toggle piece icons, as its somewhat difficult to tell a few of the pieces apart from each other. Likewise, pre-moves and maybe an eval bar. The campaign is easy enough, with a gradual difficulty ramp, but overall its very doable (probably 600 elo or so). There's seemingly no undo move button, but there is an overlay to see possible piece moves, including on the opponent's pieces. En passant, castling (short and long) and all pawn upgrades are all present! Overall, great little game!
Positives: Great price; the game is smooth, the cats are cute, and the animations are fantastic. Negatives: The AI in campaign mode starts off so bad it's not even fun. It'll allow key pieces to be taken using horrible moves (not even being tricked into it or via a gambit). Also, when you start off, its very difficult to differentiate which pieces are which (i.e. is this a knight or a bishop) until you get used to it or click on the piece to see the movement pattern.
The Game play and graphics are exceptional. The division of the kingdoms; King, Queen, Rook(castle), Bishop, knight, and Pawn, play exactly the game as is support to be. Great job on. Personality my favor part of the work are the sounds. They sound so similar to human cats, splendid work.
Been waiting for this for a while. its a fun low intensive thing to do with adorable animations. didnt expect the dlc's but still nice. Can see some potential. already a funny game as it is now, especially for the price. Maybe some extra fine tuning but i can see this having huge potential with some alternate maps, a few UI improvements and maybe some fun and/or ridiculous gamemodes (like all knight, or viking modes ect). Its ofcourse an extra step over the 'classic' browser version, but a lot more fun. But it might reach that 'golf with friends' kinda vibe.
Es lo que promete ajedrez con gatos ,espectacular la verdad
I almost never buy games on release day, but the appealing regional price, the vibrant and warm visuals, the cozy atmosphere that softens the expected seriousness of chess matches — all of that won me over from the very first screenshots. As someone who knows almost nothing about chess, this game is a great way to get started. The range of difficulty levels keeps things from getting overwhelming, the difference in the bots ELO ratings is noticeable, while the campaign is basically a tutorial — which only helps the game. What I would add or change: —When a pawn reaches the end of the board, it would be nice to be able to minimize the piece selection window. Sometimes I didn’t pay attention to the pieces I already had and wondered which one to pick, choosing, for example, a bishop instead of the more preferable knight. —When I won for the first time, I thought the game bugged because the victory animation wouldn't go away. The only way out was through the “Esc - Leave.” I thought I'd lose my progress. It would be nice to be able to check the match results on the board in the end and exit with a separate button. —The ability to quickly restart or play a rematch. —Idle animations would make the game even more lively! —Ginger cats should always win, because I have a ginger cat! I wish the developers the best of luck with the game!
