Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So, first things first, this game is NOT for everyone! It’s not fast paced. You really do have to take it slow. It has a bunch of branching storylines. So far I’ve done two. It took me about two plus hours to get the real ending. The game is basically watching videos and paying attention, then making choices based on what you saw. This is the basic gameplay loop. It has an interesting storyline and good actors. I’d give it a 7 out of 10. This game was pretty good, but there is a lot of stuff that can be improved on. It has great potential for a series. I look forward to future games from these devs.
Pretty cool game! I took a chance because this isn't the kind of game I normally play but I was surprised how much I liked it. The actors make it feel very real and the game makes you think. I'm glad I gave it a shot!

I think for the money it's an interesting concept. Pros: - Good acting. - I liked the concept of it. Cons: - This is an FMV with limited choices. As a gamer I like to keep busy and 10 minute videos with limited choices made it really hard for me to keep my concentration. - Evidence to look at was pretty pointless as it didn't really impact the ending or why you made your choices. If this could be built upon for the devs next game, it would be beneficial. Looking through text messages, being able to get the Detective to ask questions based on information you pull out etc. It'd make it more engaging. It was alright and a decent price. I can see what the aim was but it's not for those of us who lack attention spans when it comes to games.
Good story with some pretty realistic performances. The game play is very simple, which isn't a bad thing. It makes it easy to focus on the story and do your detective work. Overall I'm glad I played it and would recommend if you're into FMV and/or detective and mystery type games. This type of detective game is definitely unique and has a lot of potential. I really hope to see more cases in the future.
I really enjoyed this game. I'm a sucker for detective games and incorporating FMV, so this really scratched an itch. The acting wasn't oscar-worthy, but nuanced enough to give you subtle clues about people's motives. The gameplay was pretty solid and enjoyable. My only complaint is there's not enough of it! There needs to be more cases and more suspects. It's a pretty straightforward game. I think my first playthrough took a little over an hour and it says I could play again and make different choices to affect the outcome! I played it twice just now and the story took an entirely different turn! I'd love a game built on this engine with bonus cases as DLC, some with 4-5 suspects, and some with video testimony from medical examiners or forensic experts creating a Rashomon-like narrative.
I'm deceived but it was expected for the price. The game didn't make honor to the incredible acting of the three persons present. In fact it's not really a game as you have really few choices and the scenario was badly written. In fact a lot of clues were missing. For example what about the lie about the thaï food ? Why wasn't Michael interrogated either ? etc... You could have done more. I'll follow you to see what you will do next.
The acting was top notch and had me glued! I used my gut instinct and fortunately my hunches were correct early on. I will continue to check out the different in game scenarios. Bravo!!
95/100
First of all, I received this product for free, as a playtester. I've played the game (full version) since mid March 2022. However, I did check out the full version that they will release later on 25 October, and they already fixed or enhanced some Pros and Cons from playtesters like me. so this review is based on that experience, with some notes regarding the improvement they made. You can read my full review of this game here: Case Files: The Death of Paulette Williams [2022] - Playtest - Review. You can also watch me explaining the features of this game through this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF_O-Eh_3aA --- As for me, this game is the first game ever in the FMV genre that I could try, and it's an enjoyable session. The game objective is simple, which is to act as a detective, helping a partner to uncover who is the killer of Paullette Williams. That's all. You will be provided with a monitor to see the interview with the suspects, and another one to review the footage. Then there are some important papers, which will be helpful in case you missed a few details. There is a notepad and whiteboard too for you to take notes. With all of these items, you could immerse yourself into the setting, so you can act as if you are actually uncovering a real case. As an FMV game, this game has multiple endings, and in case you guessed the wrong person, you can choose another route, but there is no need to rewatch everything again as there is a skip button to fast-forward the footage. --- For a non-native English speaker, this was so challenging back then when I tried the alpha version of this game. No report case, no subtitle, so I could only depend on my hearing skills, and take notes of any details manually. However, in this latest version, these items are available already, so you can now focus on analysing who is the real killer of Paulette Williams... To close, if you like FMV games, love to analyse things, and want clear objectives in game, then this game will be worth your penny to spend and time to try. This game has a good cast with great acting, the characters are believable and the story is gradually played out by interrogating suspects. You have documents to look over to help determine who did it, and ultimately, the story is in your hands, and up to you to choose how to interrogate and who you think it is, although there is a true ending that you must find, if you think things through well enough and look at the evidence. It's a great game, and although it is a bit short, can be replayed for different endings and interrogation clips.
I think this is rea;lly good concept and I was invited to test this and has improved a lot from the beginning to the final version that we got today. I love the acting and story behind it. Has some slow moments but it helps with the story and characters. Got to have patience in my view.
